attac unbelievable received this letter today saying they had made a mistake and sent a cheque for exactly what they charged with interest only asked for a statement.. .then got this . .wonder if they knew i was going to challenge it for my dad. ..hmmm intersting however my dad well pleased.. .thanks for your help

Hi all I need advice please my dad had an agreement with barclays partner finance for nearly 3 years cleared it a week ago i noticed from random letters he has racked up a few charges such as failed dd and late payment when he was having some difficulties, my dad has just retired and i am looking to claim some money back for him looking for advice on how i do this i would need a statement off them first with all the detailed charges i know that but what letter do i need any help would be appreciated as my dad has just retired and in ill health at 72 i am doing everything i can to help him as he has worked all his life and never claimed a penny back on anything thanks in advance

hi no i have had nothing at all from them only this letter today with a copy of the judgement that they put on me in july 2011. and not it was 4k the total, i have just filled the n244 forms in for it to be set aside i going up attic to find all paperwork and then send forms to court on tues....thanks

hi thanks for your reply, no i have had no court papers, no letters off anyone nothing as i said i moved 18 months ago so i assume they went to my old address, and then they have obviously done a search on me and found me at my current address hence the solicitors letter which is recieved today...i might still have the copies of letters i sent them advising them they were still paying me...i didnt even know they had registered a ccj on me until this letter that came today. i must have rang them at the time nearly every other day and they just thanks kept saying we will get some to contact you and it just dragged on...this debt is from 2008 aswell i worked there sept 2007 -january 2008!

hi, i recieved a solicitors letter today saying as oer the judgement made against me on 5/7/11 they are seeking the full balance within 7 days... ok so this is basically i was emplyed and left my job as was unable to do the shifts they changed my contract to i gave notice and put it in writing and thought that was the end of it anyway oi left and then after about 5 months i noticed they were still paying me i rang and said look yr still paying me into another of my account which unfortunalty paid off my overdraft so bank took this money being paid in and cleared my overdraft then took overdraft off me...she said my line mamger didnt follow the correct procedure and my contract hadnt been terminated thanked me for notifying them and said it would be sorted nearly 2 months later they were still paying me again so i phoned sent letters and finally they stopped paying me ... next thing i had a letter saying i had to pay it all back and wat the amount was and then never heard a thing since...i then moved house well 18 months ago and today got this not nice solicitors letter so i just need advice on what i do next,....this ccj and the amount for nearly 7k is registred on my credit file too....i just want to see what i can do before they enforce the ccj.... thanks
