Hi, I'm new on here as of today and I need some help as my Daughter's partner paid a £300 deposit on an Engaement Ring and has since lost his job and asked for a refund which the jeweller has refused. The ring was her size in the shop and therefore no changes have been made to the ring so we feel that keeping the £300 on a ring that was costing £975 is a little excessive. We have contacted the shop and their Head Office and they flatly refuse to discuss the matter with the excuse that we don't refund deposits. Is there anyone on here that has come across this before and could advise us in what to do next?
