  1. Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but with all the recent publicity about reclaiming PPI, can I ask if anyone has actually had a repayment from Yes Car Credit? Briefly, I had 2 accounts with them, one in 2001 and another in 2003. I had PPI on both, and was told I had to have this to ensure I got the loan. It would never have paid out as I was working on a Zero Hours Contract, or an 'as and when required' contract as it was them. The first agreement was settled when I took the second one out. Both accounts where settled in full with not one late payment. I still have the agreement from the second deal, and all my bank statements showing all the payments. I reckon I'm talking about £3-4k in PPI paid. Do I have a chance of getting any of this back? Thanks.
  2. Please can you confirm your statement that customers losing this tariff will receive a payment of £140 before the end of this month. And can you confirm that this £140 payment is separate from the warm home discount that is given to vulnerable customers each winter? The letter I had from Eon about losing the cheap tariff made no mention of this £140 payment. EDIT. Just checked my Eon account this evening to find that £140 has been credit today under the name One Off Payment. I am impressed. However, it won't stop me changing supplier in June, so long as the new supplier will include me in the Warm Home Scheme. However, there is no sign of the £35 payment that was promised on the News last week.
  3. It's always been accepted that a car insurance policy is finished when a car is written off, as the contract between the policyholder and the insurance company has ended with the car no longer being in existence. If your mother is out of pocket, she should include this in her claim against the other driver.
  4. No way would Barclays have insisted on taking out a Warranty as a condition of the loan. It is Carcraft, who are well known for their somewhat dubious sales procedures, trying it on as they make about 50% commission on these warranties. Try getting some warranty quotes online and you will find you can get one for much less than half you ahve been quoted.
