Hi, It was before 2008, in 2005 i sent the car back. Should I contact them and ask them why this has happened? My issue is that this will now be on my credit report until 2014! Surley they can't just place a default onto the account without my knowledge? Matt

Hi There, The default date is 16th March 2008. I am sure this is incorrect. I've never heard of Marlin! Thanks again, Matt

Hello, Apologies if this is already in the forum somewhere but I am hoping someone can help. I am new to the forum but am having some issues with Marlin financial and a Default that I didn't know about... and i've never heard of Marlin! Basically I had bought a car in 2003 through black horse finance and in 2005 returned the car and settled the finance, however I have just checked my credit report and have seen a default for car finance on my credit file from Marlin financial? I have never heard of them but by googling them I have found that they are a debt recovery agency. So please could someone advise me: 1) Can they do this? 2) How can I remove this from my file? 3) Who do I complain to? Thank you in advance. Matt
