  1. I have sent a complaint to the FCA regarding Motor Mile Finance so it will be interesting to see if anything happens, also I have sent the Harassment and threat of doorstep visit letter to MMF as well (not that they will take any notice - as they have done with my previous e-mails).
  2. After writing to Rob Sands and sending numerous e-mails disputing this debt, asking for a full breakdown of this debt and also requesting a copy of Motor Mile Finance complaints procedure ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN IGNORED I receive this e-mail from them at 00:55 this morning: '' FORMA L APPOINTMENT REQUEST Our Ref: MXXXXXX Mr Lender Payday Loans Debt Value:£552.08 One of our Doorstep Agents will shortly be attending your property and this is a formal request for you to provide an agreed appointment time and date, failing which, our agent will have no option other than to arrive unannounced. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MATTER AS COSTS AND INTEREST WILL SHORLTY START TO BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT BALANCE AND WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE AMOUNT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY. Please contact us urgently on 0113 323 0090 quoting reference MXXXXXX. Yours faithfully, Doorstep Collections Dept. MotorMile Finance UK Ltd. 0845 241 9070 :Telephone 0113 323 0090 :Local 0808 168 6914 :Freephone '' I really need some advice on how to proceed further, what the hell gives them the right to think that they can send one of their agents out even though I have no intention of making an appointment - I have expressed this many times in the the letter/e-mails that I have sent to Rob Sands.
  3. And here is the e-mail from MMF earlier this morning: ''Please contact MMF office on 01138876876 to pre-book a Home Visit appointment, otherwise our doorstep agent may have to arrive unannounced. Ref :MXXXX'' Sorry they have got no chance of me contacting them to arrange a home visit, and as per OFT guidelines they can't turn up at my property as they don't have my permission. Just want them to try it.
  4. So still no response from Rob Sands (2 e-mails sent and 1 registered letter which has been signed for) I have also e-mailed Neil Petty who I believe is one of the owners/directors of MMF and also sent a complete e-mail trail twice today to their ascent address and surprise, surprise no response. Looks like I will be re-sending the complete e-mail trail again tomorrow and the next day until I get a response from this shower of S***. By the way my original e-mail and letter that I sent to Rob Sands was a formal complaint and alleged debt in dispute.
  5. So at 11.15pm last night I receive this e-mail from MMF: ''Dear XXXX, TRANSFER TO HOME VISIT DEPARTMENT Our Ref: MXXXX Mr Lender Payday Loans Debt Value: £552.08 Your file has now been passed to the Home Visit Department and a Doorstep Collection Agent will shortly be instructed to attend your property. The default will be registered with all 3 credit reference agencies in our month end report. If you wish to prevent this registration, contact us to accept one of the following offers: - Payment of the debt over monthly instalments. - A substantially discounted payment in full and final settlement of the debt. Contact us NOW before it is TOO LATE: 0113 887 3869. If we do not hear from you the default will be registered at Experian, Equifax and CallCredit and this will make it difficult for you to obtain credit now and for 6 years. Yours faithfully, Doorstep Collections Dept MotorMile Finance UK Ltd. 0845 2418729 :Telephone 0113 8873869 :Local 0808 1686913 :Freephone'' I have sent a letter and several e-mails to Rob Sands disputing this debt and also complaining about receiving e-mails at a unreasonable time of the day but obviously these have been ignored so it looks like MMF will be sending one of their clones to my address, I really need some advice on how to deal with MMF is this one of their many 'scare and intimidate' letters or is there a chance that they will send out one of their agents?, the e-mail I received today was officially headed compared to the earlier 'threat-o-grams'. Also I have not received a Notice of Assignment from Mr Lender, I thought this was supposed to be issued before a debt gets passed to a low life outfit such as MMF?. Any help and/or advice will be appreciated
  6. Oh dear another 'threat-o-gram' from MMF, sent at 11:14PM last night..... ''Message for Mr XXXX. Please contact us to arrange home visit appointment date. Call Home Visit Department 01138876876 , ref.MXXXX'' Now they are giving me the option of contacting them to arrange a home visit, they have got ZERO chance of me doing this and am I correct that if I send them a WOIRA notice then they can't send any of their boneheads to my address?. Does anybody on the forum know or aware if MMF ACTUALLY send any agents out or is it just one of their 'scare tactics'?
  7. Here we go I knew this would arrive sooner or later: ''Dear XXXXX, HOME VISIT- Pre-Appointment Notice Our Ref: XXXXX Mr Lender Payday Loans Debt Value: £552.08 We note that we have not heard from you in response to our earlier communications. Your file is shortly scheduled to be transferred to one of our Home Visit Divisions. We are happy to try to resolve this matter without conducting a Doorstep Visit and would ask you to contact us by telephone or email to discuss repayment terms. Please note that if we do not hear from you, then you will be visited to assess your personal circumstances with a view to passing your account to our Legal Department. We would, lastly, advise that if you are able to make a lump sum settlement offer, then we would be willing to allow a 25% discount on the outstanding balance and to waive the default costs and interest that have not yet been added to your account balance. Please contact us urgently on 0113 887 3868 quoting reference MXXXX Unless we hear from you within 5 days, then your account will be prepared for transfer to the Home Visit Division. Yours faithfully, Doorstep Collections Dept. MotorMile Finance UK Ltd. 0845 2418728 :Telephone 0113 8873868 :Local 0808 1686912 :Freephone'' I like the way that this lot say that I have not responded to any of their so called 'communications' when they have ignored my e-mails, also I like the way that they think that they can visit me without my permission and also to assess my personal circumstances - what gives them the right to even think that they can do this??. So, they are already offering me a 25% discount - are they thinking that this debt is unenforceable?. Does anybody on the forum have Rob Sand's e-mail address so I can make a formal complaint to him?.
  8. Another e-mail from MMF at 1.15am this morning asking me to contact them urgently, by the way I have not received any NoA from Mr Lender that they have assigned/sold my loan to MMF..,I thought that this had to be issued before they assigned/sold my loan to MMF/DCA etc?. As for MMF demanding £552.08, sorry but I have made a offer of repayment to Mr Lender which they refused on several occasions, is there anyway I can ask for a breakdown of fees/charges/interest which more then likely are unenforceable as I have never been informed by Mr Lender of these so called 'fees,charges,interest...blaah,blaah,blaah'. I suppose its now just a matter of time before I get the e-mail threatening door step visits etc...
  9. Just checked my e-mails again this morning and found this e-mail in my 'SPAM' folder: ''Dear XXXXXXX, ACT NOW TO PRESERVE YOUR CREDIT RATING Our Ref: M XXXX Mr Lender Payday Loans Debt Value: £552.08 We note that you have not responded to our previous communications. Your continued default will shortly be reported to all 3 major credit reference agencies and this will make it hard for you to obtain credit in the future. The file is now being prepared for a notice of default to be issued and then for a Doorstep Agent visit to your property to try and resolve the matter. If you wish to deal with this matter, please contact our office and one of our representatives will happily go through the matter with you to reach a repayment agreement. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MATTER AS COSTS AND INTEREST WILL SHORTLY START TO BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT BALANCE AND WILL GREATLY INCREASE THE AMOUNT YOU WILL HAVE TO P AY. Please Contact us NOW on: 0113 887 3867. Quoting reference MXXXX Yours Faithfully, Pre-Visit Collections Dept. MotorMile Finance UK Ltd. 0845 2418727 :Telephone 0113 8873867 :Local 0808 1686909 :Freephone'' So this lot are now saying that I have not responded to their previous communications?, I have only received one e-mail from you asking me to contact you with a reference number (again like this e-mail I received this morning I only found this by accident in my SPAM folder). Also how does a £425.00 debt become £552.08?. Are MMF aware that the FOS have acknowledged my complaint regarding Mr Lender and are investigating? Doorstep agent to try and resolve the matter? - i'm shaking in my boots and running for the hills!! Can anybody advise the best course of action with MMF and their 'threats'?, any help/advice will be appreciated.
  10. Well I have had no more e-mails from MMF since last Wednesday,no telephone calls or any of their laughable text messages - I wonder if they have gone quiet as I have a formal complaint ongoing with the FOS regarding Mr Lender?.
  11. I received this e-mail from MMF at 10:45PM yesterday evening: ''Dear XXXXX Please contact Motormile Finance regarding your outstanding account on 01138 876 876 quoting reference MXXXXXX Yours faithfully MMF'' What is the best way to deal with MMF?, interestingly I have not received a Notice of Assignment from Mr Lender neither have I received a Default notice also it will be interesting to see if MMF ramp up the debt which presently stands at £424.50 on a £200 loan.
  12. Another e-mail from Mr Lender today, even though I have offered them a monthly payment (which they have refused and still want £70 per month before they will set up a repayment plan) they still seem hell bent on offering me their repayment offer. 'Interest is still accumulating on your outstanding loan that you have with Mr Lender. If you make a payment to set up a repayment plan we can freeze your interest. If the plan is up to 3 months long, we can waiver all late fees and charges on the account. Repayment Department' I'm starting to lose patience with this shower, I have done the right thing and offered an amount that I can afford which they have refused, and I have also asked for their bank details so I can make payment (but so far they have not provided them to me), they still think that I will crack under their pressure tactics and pay what they want and then set up a repayment plan - they also have stated in a previous e-mail that they MAY sell my loan on to MMF if payment is not received this Friday.
  13. So AGAIN I have offered Mr Lender £20.00 per month to clear my loan, within a hour of sending them my offer of repayment I have received this response: ''Your account has been passed over to myself for further review. My name is Michael and I work in the repayment plan department at Mr Lender. My role is to provide advice and support to our customers who may be experiencing financial hardship. We would like to work with you in order to alleviate some of the pressures you may be experiencing as a result of your current financial situation. We understand you may be in financial difficulty and we would like to put you in a repayment plan to make things easier for you. Your outstanding balance is currently £424.50. We wanted to offer you the following additional help in order to close your account with us. We wanted to offer you the following option: · Place you in a repayment plan for your balance of £424.50. This will mean you will not be paying off the interest but actually paying off your outstanding balance. We will therefore freeze your balance and stop any further charges or interest from being added. The maximum repayment plan we can offer you is six months at £70.75 per month. In order for us to set up your repayment plan and freeze your account you will need to make your first payment today. We are unable to set up your repayment plan without taking your initial payment. If the above is affordable, on what date would you like to make your other payments and please confirm we have your correct card details ending in XXXX. If you have a new card please fill out the below: 16 digit card no: Start date: Expiry date: Last 3 digits on back of card: If the above is not manageable, then please complete and return the attached income & expenditure form along with your offer of payment. We would also require the following documentation: · Two months bank statements · Two months wage slips OR a copy of your P45 OR documentation you may be claiming benefits · Documentation showing other outstanding creditors/bill arrears Once received, we shall review your account further and respond with an outcome. Alternatively we can pass your account to our preferred financial solutions specialists. They will look to do the following to help you: · Review the level of your Mr Lender debt and may be able to reduce this or even wipe clean your balance of £424.50 and close your account with Mr Lender · They will put a stop to Mr Lender contacting you via phone, text and email · They will provide you with further support with your other creditors · Prevent your debt being referred to a third party door step collector They work with our customers who are in financial difficulty and ultimately will save you money. Once your account is closed it will be marked in a positive manner and may make it easier for you to obtain future credit. If your account is just left as it is, it may be sold around 10th March to a nationwide debt collection agency called Motormile Finance for doorstep collection. We await your response.'' It amazes me that even though I have offered them a monthly repayment at what I can afford they obviously don't want to know and are still asking me to pay £70.75 per month which I cant afford, also I am gobsmacked at the contents of this e-mail - I have sent a complaint previously to the OFT and FOS but I have not heard anything from them, I would like some advise on the next course of action to take with this shower please?
  14. Okay so here is a e-mail I had from Mr Lender earlier today: ''Your current balance is £424.50 and you are incurring additional interest and late fees. As your account has been overdue for so long, I would like to offer you a Settlement Figure to close your account. Please click here or on the link below to view this Settlement Figure; SETTLE YOUR LOAN IN FULL AND CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR £297.15 (Saving £127.45) If you cannot afford to pay the settlement figure in one payment, call me on 0208-532-5020 and we can work out a repayment plan to suit you. Thanks,'' I sent a complaint regarding the treatment I have received from Mr Lender to the FOS and OFT, now maybe the FOS/OFT have rattled Mr Lenders cage and they are prepared to accept an offer of repayment from me?. I like the additional interest and late fees Mr Lender like to keep adding to my account as they have not even notified me of these charges!. With the settlement amount this looks like the original loan of £200 plus one months interest at £97.15, I wonder if they are getting desperate as they perhaps realise that their monthly interest and charges are unenforceable?.
  15. Furball80, I'm having problems with Mr Lender as well - I made a formal complaint to Mr Lender but have heard nothing in fact almost all of my e-mails have been conveniently ignored, I offered them £20 per month which they wont accept they even offered me a 6 month repayment plan of £75.25 which I cant afford. I have posted my experiences with Mr Lender on the forum as well. As for Motor Mile Finance?, you will find some excellent advice on the CAG website on how to deal with them, my loan is due to be passed to this low life at the end of this month if I don't repay £425.00 (my original loan was for £200 which was taken out in early December of last year).
  16. I have now sent a complaint regarding Mr Lender to the OFT and FOS, it will be interesting to see what happens now and if Mr Lender will decide to back down I have also informed the OFT/FOS of Mr Lenders intention to pass my loan to Motor Mile Finance after the 28th February which is the deadline they have given me to repay.
  17. I have lodged a complaint with Mr Lender but like everything else I have had no comeback from them until today - time to make a complaint to the FOS and the OFT me thinks, do you think that it is also worth writing to Mr Freeman as well? although I doubt if I will hear any response if this experience is anything to go by.
  18. So I have sent Mr Lender a e-mail offering payment and they have responded: ''Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, a payment of £20.00 a month will not freeze your account from further charges. As stated in my previous email, you have incurred the additional interest charge of £94.50, bringing your total balance to £424.50. Our maximum repayment plans are only split over 6 months, which would be £70.75 per month. In order to review your account further and reduce your monthly payments, please complete the attached Income and Expenditure form. Please forward me the email address that you have been responding to, as we still have not received the emails you have previously sent, so I can look into this further for you. Please be advised that until we receive this payment, your account will remain in collections where you may receive automated texts and emails. Kind Regards,'' Where do I stand with their reponse? and that I may receive automated texts and emails even though I have asked them to remove my contact telephone numbers and requested that communication be made by writing and e-mail only. Also I had a e-mail from them stating if I don't contact them then they will re-instate my telephone number that I provided at the time of taking the loan out.
  19. I've just received another e-mail from Mr Lender which they are threatening further harassment as you can see they have removed my contact telephone number as I requested ALL COMMUNICATION BE IN WRITING ONLY but are threatening to re-instate my telephone number. ''You account is currently in collections with us at Mr lender. We your current balance with us is £424.50 and is due to receive another missed interest charge. We have no contact number for you on file as you have requested for them to be removed. Can you please e-mail us back in regards to your current situation Please be aware that you have a legal obligation to discuss account and prior to this e-mail we have not had any response to our e-mails sent to you after we have removed your number. Failure to contact us back by the 20th of February via e-mail will result in us having to contact you on contact number you provided when applying for the loan. Look forward to hearing from you, Kind Regards,'' Now I like the way they are adding charges without telling me how much they are are for and also the fact that I have not been informed of any charges being applied to my account, I have sent them e-mails which apart from one the rest they have chosen to ignore.
  20. Here is another e-mail I have received from Mr Lender this morning, £330 becomes £424.50? and they have not informed me of any charges being applied to my loan. ''Your current balance with Mr Lender is £424.50. Contact us to set-up a repayment plan and we will Freeze Interest and Discount any late fees you have incurred to date. We are here Monday to Saturday - 9am to 6pm. Call us direct on 0208-532-5045 or just reply to this email''
  21. Just had this e-mail from them: ''Interest is still accumulating on your outstanding loan that you have with Mr Lender. Did you know that if you talk to us we can FREEZE your interest AND offer you a repayment plan over 3 or 6 months!'' Not really sure what to make of this.
  22. It works both ways then, maybe I can go into lockdown and ignore mode with them and also when MMF get involved?.
  23. So after sending a e-mail to Mr Lender earlier today, a couple of hours later this is their response: ''Dear XXXXX Thank you for your email. It has been noted on your account not to contact you via telephone. We have tried to contact you on several occasions since we received your first email on the 31st December, however we have not heard from you. Please forward me the email address you have been contacting, as all emails are automatically logged onto your account. Your last email stated that you were awaiting a new card and could pay £70.00 on the Mr Lender website, as this payment has not been received, you have incurred £60.00 in late fees. Your account balance currently stands as £330.00, to avoid incurring a missed interest charge of £94.50, I would advise making a payment of £66.00 which will freeze the balance and a repayment plan will be set up over 4 months. If you do not want to supply your current debit card, I would advise making this payment via cash payment directly into a Barclays branch or fast track bank transfer using the following details: Bank: Sort code: Account number: Reference number: If you would like to proceed with the above repayment plan please contact me. Please also find attached our complaints procedure. Kind Regards,'' This is what I think regarding their e-mail: 'It has been noted on your account not to contact you via telephone.' - I hope for their sake that they don't go back on this one. 'Your last email stated that you were awaiting a new card and could pay £70.00 on the Mr Lender website, as this payment has not been received, you have incurred £60.00 in late fees' - I have not sent them a e-mail to this effect and they can shove their £60 where the sun don't shine, they have not sent me any notification about this £60.00 fee and I have never stated that I am awaiting a new debit card and that I will pay £70 on the 3rd January, so where did they dream this one up? 'Please forward me the email address you have been contacting, as all emails are automatically logged onto your account' - You already have my e-mails as not one has been answered or returned to me as undeliverable. 'Your account balance currently stands as £330.00, to avoid incurring a missed interest charge of £94.50 I would advise making a paying of £66.00 which will freeze the balance and a repayment plan will be set up over 4 months ',' -So you are going to charge me £94.50 in missed interest charges which will increase the debt to £424.50? So they are dictating to me how much I will pay and giving me a repayment plan on their terms?......sorry I can't believe their cheek!!!, I would love to see them take this to court and making it stick. If you do not want to supply your current debit card, I would advise making this payment via cash payment directly into a Barclays branch or fast track bank transfer using the following details:' - YOUR DAM RIGHT I DON'T WANT TO SUPPLY MY DEBIT CARD DETAILS,WHEN YOU ACKNOWLEDGE MY REPAYMENT PROPOSAL THEN I WILL BE PAYING VIA YOUR BANK OTHERWISE IT'S A £1 PER MONTH. AND THE ICING ON THE CAKE: 'If you would like to proceed with the above repayment plan please contact me.' - ????? Totally bemused by their response, who do they think they are by sending this and how the hell can they justify £60 late charges and also £94.50 in missed interest payments? which they have not confirmed by writing and also expecting me to pay £66 over four months on their repayment terms either way they can dream on.
  24. I have stated in my complaint to Mr Lender that I will get the FOS,OFT and ICO involved I will wait and see if anybody at Mr Lender decides to respond, luckily the call to my employer was recorded. What a mistake I made by taking out a loan with this outfit, lesson learnt.
  25. So Mr Lender have decided to start calling my employer and according to one of my work colleagues who took the call they informed my employer who they was from, I have sent this shower many e-mails ASKING FOR THEM TO COMMUNICATE BY WRITING ONLY AND TO REMOVE ALL OF MY CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBERS which obviously they have not done. I have now fired off a formal complaint to Mr Lender asking them for a copy of their complaints procedure (I WONT HOLD MY BREATH AS THEY MORE THEN LIKELY WONT RESPOND LIKE THEY HAVE NOT TO MY EARLIER E-MAILS). Can somebody on the forum/s help or advise me on the best course of action to take? as Mr Lender has now also put my employment at risk.
