  1. Can I appeal even though she has been on benefit so long?
  2. My partner has been on ESA for nearly 4 years first 2 years we didn't hear a peep from them then she received a letter to attend a WFI she was quite stressed when we got there the advisor could see how much stress she was under so terminated the interview and said we will try again in 6 months that day came and it was the same situation she said she would put her on lite touch, so she would phone every three months but that changed to monthly, by this time my partner was so distressed she attempted suicide, when the next phone call came I answered and said she was not fit to take the call due to the suicide attempt I even took in the report from her psychiatrist they accepted.... Fast forward to last week a letter came through the post I knew straight away it was from the jobcentre with capital lettered WORK PROGRAMME she must attend or her benefits may be affected as wrong as it may sound I haven't told her yet as she is in a really bad way at the moment, she is under psychiatric care, suffers with major depressive disorder, auditory illucinations, severe paranoia, mild agoraphobia, she can't hardly go out only under supervision, she suffers violent episodes when under pressure, I'm just looking for advise on what to do, I know I will have to take her to this appointment but I really don't know what to expect, thanks in advance for any help
  3. i was hoping to get more response but i could try that but from what ive heard they dont listen to reason she's in a right mess over this and doesnt know which way to turn she's even staying with me so they dont find her as anymore stress would almost certainly tip her over the edge
  4. hello everyone im hoping someone can help me with this, im new here so please bear with me. back in october last year my friend got a laptop from brighthouse for her boyfriend just days later he left her and went off to spain with his parents and the laptop my friend continued to pay for the laptop til around february, my friend started to have a mental breakdown and was diagnosed with bipolar but that didnt stop her trying to overdose too, me and her family found out it was all down to brighthouse because she didnt have the laptop to give back or the money to pay them, this has really taken a toll on her and she cant cope and is very unwell, she doesnt want to avoid the debt she just cant afford the £50 per month is there anything i can do to make brighthouse accept a reasonable amount every month this problem has caused my friend to have a breakdown and im actually really scared for her.
