Excellent news! About time these companies were brought to heel! Sad to see that, as I type this reply I am looking at two adverts, on this forum, promoting PPI companies. There does seem to be a little element of hypocrisy here! Methinks the forum doth protest too hard.....

This is interesting.... We're in the process of moving house and our new home is on an unadopted road, hence why I'm looking at this thread. Incidentally, might I throw the folloing point into the mix? I work at Heathrow Airport and ALL the roads that are on the airport site are privately owned (albeit by Heathrow Airport Limited!) and there is a sign as one drives onto airport property explaining that access is prohibited to ALL vehicles except those on airport business. The buses that take me from the staff car park, just south of the A4, to work in the central area are NOT taxed, but have to stick to a very precise route and are taken to & from the garage for servicing anf repairs by transporter, thus avoiding the need for them to be driven to the garage. Any thoughts?
