Hi, I have had the exact same problem today, I tried to pay a bill using my visa debit card this morning and it was declined. I knew i had money as i have just been paid, anyway i thought nothing of it and went to the cashpoint where i was advised on screen that i had to contact my bank right away, so i went into my bank and the girl behind the counter put me on the phone to barclays fraud squad. After chatting for 10 mins we finally came to the transaction for £67.70 that EPM Power loans/funding had taken from my account i have NEVER heard of this company in my life and certainly hadnt requested a loan from them, although a few months ago i did apply for a number of loans on the net such as wonga, yes loans ect. But never excepted any loans. The guy at the barclays fraud squad informed me that he was going to cancell m card perminantly, send me a new one and also a forn that must be filled in regarding the fraudulent activity on my account. I also have to go into my bank in 2 working days when the transaction shows on my bank statment and call the fraud squad to talk about re-inbursting me the money that they have fraudulantly taken. I am rather confused about the whole thing to be entirley honest if anyone has any advise or tips to help me with this or even anymore information on this company (EMP Power loans/funding) I would appreciate it greatley.
