  1. i thought from andy's comment before they can sell if they want but have to be reassigned but otherwise carry on paying.
  2. hi there, just to keep you up to date, i got a letter from restons after writing to them, they told me that they are acting on behalf of marlin and to continue to pay £50 to them as before, no interest has been added but can we review your payments. For me I will continue to pay £50, my income is down due to my increased pension payments enforced by the government and also increased gas and electricity and the emergence of a debtor i wasn't paying, no disposable income now!!!!
  3. Thank you citizenb, when I hear something I will follow your instructions, yours and everyone else's help and information is greatly appreciated. Just when you think things are evening out, something comes up to bite you.
  4. Thank you Andy, so basically they can sell the debt and it's tough luck, should I just continue with the payments as I am doing as someone has said I am not evading or denying the debt but simply paying what I can afford even though it is going to take a long time to end.
  5. Yes donkeyb, all of my correspondance appears to be identical to that american muscle has received, including the communications with Restons. I will continue with my agreed payment plan and wait til the new lot contact me. I am sure americanmuscle and I will receive communication around the same time. I will let you know what it says when it turns up, which isn't today as the post has already been and the phone is not ringing.Worriedsick, you are starting to make me worried sick! I am aware the agencies are **** but I managed to deal with 1st Credit after they took the threat and harass route and have a payment plan in place.
  6. As the OP there is definitely a charging order in place, I have the paperwork from the Land Registry confirming it.With regards to MBNA leaving the UK market, what happens to those of us with debts with them?
  7. americanmuscle, you don't really need to start a new post, it's reading to me that our situation are almost identical, I haven't heard anything from MFS yet but will sort a letter to MBNA/Restons tomorrow, had 12 hour shift today so no chance.
  8. Also as I recall, the court order was full amount with no allowance for added interest.
  9. Thank you very much citizenB, that was very helpful and also quite reassuring. I will send MBNA and Restons a letter as you have suggested.
  10. thank you lookinforinfo ,It was an agreement made with restons after the charge was made. What happens to the charging order? Do MFS now own that too? Whats the point of cca, the debt is mine and am paying it. Will try SAR but sure I had PPI or the like, I work fot the NHS they pay when you are sick, not that i am.
  11. Dear all,I have received a letter today from MBNA telling me they have sold my credit card debt to MFS Portfolio ltd, this debt has a CCJ and a charge on my house in place and I have an agreement in place with Restons to pay £50 a month, this a standing order and has never been missed. Please advise me on what to expect next and what I should do as there is no phone number to contact MBNA, and when I searched the person I spoke to said nobody could help me till Monday. Thank you.
  12. I must admit I thought it might have to be a broker, could we not go back to Hastings who do car as well as van insurance to see if there is anything they could do?
  13. I understand that, so can you tell me of an insurance company that is going to accept this no claims discount proof, it's still no claims whatever vehicle it was earned on.
