  1. thanks dx, but does this code also cover Atlantic Electric and Gas or just the 'big 6'?
  2. Hi, I have just received from Atlantic Electric & Gas an amended final bill for £136.55 for an account closed in December 2009. Although the bill does not state exactly why they are claiming this £136.55, on the back of the bill it says they refunded the credit in the account upon closing, supposedly on two different dates. I am not sure this is the case (I certainly don't recall it, although i cannot rule it out entirely) and have no way of checking my bank statements back this far. I feel it is unjust that they should be claiming this money, out of the blue more than 2 years later. Where do I stand on this matter? Thanks,
  3. All I can say is so far so good.....I got the address issue sorted and when I received the log book, declared the bike SORN. The website said as there had been a gap in the tax, I could expect to hear from the DVLA. Nothing yet and it has been a few weeks, so fingers crossed !!!
  4. @ Raykay & CremThanks Guys, that's what i'll do. Fingers crossed regarding the fines.....Thanks once again for your help.regards,Jpm777
  5. Good idea! Do you think I ought to send the V5 off first and wait till that is returned or declare SORN now and send off the V5 afterwards?
  6. Thanks for the reply Raykay. I'm thinking about re-declaring it SORN (V890) this coming week, submitted at the post office along with the V5 for a change of address. Do you think this would be a good course of action? The only other thing i was considering, as I need to resolve this and not have it hanging over my head, is to go to my local DVLA office and fill out the paperwork there. Thanks for your input, it is much appreciated.
  7. Anybody got any ideas as to the best course of action please?
  8. Hi,I have a dilemma and need some advice. I have a motorcycle that has been off the road since 1999 and I declared it SORN at the time. I hadn't given it any more thought until recently when I came across the V5 and found that the address where I had previously kept the motorcycle (my parents house), was still on the document. They moved out of there in 2006.I know this is totally my fault for not updating the records of where the motorcycle is kept. However a friend recently pointed out that SORN must be renewed every year. He suggested I check the status online, and it says un-registered and date of liability August 2000. I dont remember ever having received a SORN renewal prior to 2006. I seem to remember only having done it once. The burning question is what is my best course of action now. I'm scared of a big fine and the motorcycle is just sitting in my garage.Help!!!Thanks.
