  1. hi andy the response is literally an online application for an egg card back in 2003 this transferred to Barclaycard apparently then HPH2? then robinson way the letter states I have 14 days to respond to allow time for my repayment proposals failure to do so may result in howard cohens taking court action there is no signature, no agreement just my old address from 13 years ago, my old work, old salary nothing else should I just ignore this??
  2. Hi, I sent a CCA request to the DC/Solicitor in feb 2016 Just received a response in October which is basically a copy of the online application? no agreement on terms or repayments just my address details, job details, credit limit, no signed agreement Is the above enforceable? is there a letter I can send back to this? the amount is for £6k+ - any help much appreciated
  3. I had an exisiting car insurance policy with hastings, I was the main driver, my wife the named driver. I wanted to purchase a car for me, so, phoned hastings and asked what the cost would be for my wife to be main driver/policyholder on the existing policy. was informed no additonal cost so went ahead and swopped over and PURCHASED a new car for me. I chased proof of my NCB several times to use on the policy for the NEW car with a different insurer. Was then told by hastings they couldn't relase my NCB because hastings were using it on my wifes policy, i was told i'd have to cancel the policy and take out a new policy for my wife £500 increase!!!! bearing in mind i phoned hastings before i bought a new car, told them what i was doing and was told i had done everything correctly. I want to cancel my policy with hastings as the mistakes were made at there end and i can get the policy in my wifes name far cheaper elsewhere even though i was lead to believe i had a policy in her name!! i did everything i should and this was confirmed when chasing up my NCB, the call centre operator asked if i was wanting to use the NCB elsewhere and i said yes... Hastings want to charge me to leave and as i'm paying monthly will no doubt cost me a fortune when i have done nothing wrong!! any help/advice appreciated
  4. a few months ago Scottish power contacted me to say i had to sign up to the fixed price direct debit scheme because 1 bill was pid late due to a holiday!! i reluctantly joined the scheme - with what i believed to be fixed energy prices. since joining the scheme my monthly direct debit has increased twice!! i now pay £190 a month for gas & electric for a 2 bedroom house. My energy consumption hasn't changed drastically in fact, the house is empty most days other than evenings and weekends. my direct debits have increased along with the scottish power energy increases...strange that!! i complained via email which took 4 emails until i got an acceptable response which resulted in a manger calling me to take some additional readings to gauge my energy usage since my last meter reading. I was told someone woulc call me back to discuss, they haven't and they have put my bill up to £190 per month. i emailed again to chase this up and was informed that nobody can speak to me because they are an online service?! who was the manager who contacted me and was due to ring me back then?! sounds like they are ducking out off this. i feel i was totally mis-sold this service, i believed i was 'locking' into my energy prices at the time which hasn't happened. they now tell me i have a debt of nearly £400?! where has that come from? i want to terminate my contract with them but nobody will answer my points on email and they claim they can't speak to me?! any help advice appreciated
