  1. I handed the laptop into the store. And nope i never got told that they said they would book it right away.. then when i had that phone call a week later they booked it in and it got collected the next day as the lady on the phone said to me today its been sat in diagnostics since 17th june which is coming up to 2 weeks this friday its been in the same place. I did phone up today and this woman i spoke to seemed alot more help. she told me to phone back in 4 days to see where my laptop is if its still in diagnosics then.. she is gonna speak to the repair people and ask them to push the repair forward. I did say if it hasnt moved from July 8th from diagnostics then i want my laptop back as that then would be a month without it. She then phoned me back said she spoke to her supervisor and she offered me a good will voucher of £15. I will leave it as im still waiting for a reply to my letter and also as ive took it to trading standards. But still think its really wrong.
  2. Okay well its coming up to 28 days so when that happens and I still haven't got my laptop then what?
  3. On the 8th june my laptop went into repair due to when I closed down the laptop the night before it was still on but no screen. In the morning it was working, went to desktop then died on me with a smell at the bottom of my laptop that my dog smelt. Took this on for repair, the first lady didn’t know what she was talking about, the 2nd man said I should take this up with Compaq itself until the manager came and said no I was right. I received a phone call on the 15th June from PC World in Oxford asking if I wanted a data back up service. I said no and asked how much it was out of curiosity so he told me and then he said he would book my laptop in for repair. I questioned him saying is my laptop not in for repair yet then? He said no it isn’t. So he booked it in for repair, told me it would be ready for Sunday June 26th. I rung up the tech guys about how unhappy I was with the service. If I did want that data back up why has it took them a week to ring me after I had put my laptop in for repair, even though I didn’t want it I thought it was wrong that my laptop hadn’t even been put in for repair. I wrote a letter in about this service and spoke to a lady, she hasn’t got back to me yet so not sure what’s going on there. I phoned on Thursday 23rd June wondering where my laptop is. The man on the phone told me it was in diagnostics. I only rung due to Deborah telling me if I hadn’t heard about my laptop in a few days then ring back. So I rung on Sunday 26th June to tech guys asking where my laptop is. The man told me that my laptop has been completed in repair on Tuesday 21st June was booked in on Wednesday 22nd June and I should of heard back from PC World Saturday 25th June or Sunday 26th June. He told me to wait until Monday if I heard nothing from PC World to phone them back. Heard nothing back so I phoned the tech guys back on the monday, the man told me he couldn’t find my file on the computer so he had to search through the documents with my telephone number I left them with. He told that my laptop is still in diagnostics and that it hasnt even been repaired yet, I should hear from them in a few days if I haven’t then please phone back and I should receive my laptop soon. So i rung trading standards and she said to write a letter. And to phone back in 10 days if i have had no reply. But im sitll wondering what can be done? Ill be phoning tomorrow asking where my laptop is but im sick of waiting. Many thanks Ellie
