hi guys can you please give me some help in what to do. About a week and half ago went JJB ordered treadmill in store - girl who served me fully aware lived in first floor flat. Last night i get an email from JJB saying item will be delived 7 am until 10.30 am today as agreed -and that they will ring me when on the way to give estimated time of arrival. It also says they may only deliver to ground floor they would need to do asessment first. Well this am at 6.40 i was awoken by my flat intercom saying JJB where there - a lady and a man - no phone call to say they were on the way - it took me by suprise - anyway they refused to bring it upstairs even though lady in shop knew i lived first floor - so i was left with a huge treadmill no way of getting it upstairs - had to ring my dad a pensioner it took us over half an hour to get it up the stairs. Am really upset by the poor service - rang the store they didnt want to Any ideas what i should do - wasnt a cheap product.

ok letter says they will pay me employment and support allowance and they will credit me with national insurance bassed contributions whilst claiming employment and support - it does seem to be contribution based by looks of things - but this was before i knew il be getting 750 a mth from next mth. il ring them tomorrow as im confused never done any of this before this is what letter says i am pleased to tell you we can pay ESA FROM end of may 67.50 a week we will credit you with NI contributions whilst claiming esa. the payment of employment and support is based on NI cont records. we calll this contributory based and income realted and support allowance your living expenses 67.50 which gives a total of 67.50 income and benefits no income will be taken off your employment and support allowance your employment and support alow is 67.50 less total income - so entitlement is 67.50 so is it correct il get in total 67.50 a week or wil i get more with the ni contribution aswell?? am confused even if we take 750 for next mth out of the equation

il ring them up to find out - thats what was trying to find out see if anyone knew what the law said i would need to live on and local housing rate etc

thanks for reply the insurance is a private one through work - not sure what that will be classed as - can you explain what you mean re contribution based ESA please

hi ive had an awful few mths - am still employed but moving on to employment and support for a bit due to ill health - anyway to cut a long story short i find out ive been accepted for an insurance claim with our company to pay part of my wages - so il be getting 750 a mth from work - does anyone know if il still be entilted to any assistnace from benefits with income or help with rent etc does anyone know the cut off for income etc my mum has recently died so im trying to sort things out and would really be grateful for help thanks
