  1. Hi Not sure if anybody will know the answer to this or even if I posted in the right place. In November I did a transatlantic cruise UK - USA as I was then travelling on internal flights etc in the US l looked for the option to send clothes home as had no use for formal wear etc while travelling. Found a company who ship to the UK (a facility in florida. You can order from US websites and they store and send on to the UK) I checked it was an option for me to send my clothes to them for them to then forward on as usually its for new items etc they advised wouldn't be a problem. I went to a UPS store boxed them up and sent them to the facility. I then paid around £95 to have my clothes sent to me once I was back home in the UK. Received my items about 2 weeks ago then last week I received a duty & tax invoice from FedEx asking for me to pay £86.61 £12.75 disbursement fee £17.81 original duty £56.05 original vat Does anyone know what this is for? FedEx are absolutely useless the website takes you in circles to an faq, the telephone number also just directs you to the faq and you can't speak to anyone, twitter also useless as they direct me to the faq or the option to fill in a form that you can't actually write anything in only input your invoice number and select from a drop down. I didn't think I had to to pay the above for my own used clothes and don't know what to do. I can prove that the clothes where bought in the UK before my travels as I have receipts for the majority of my items but don't know if this matters. Any help would be massively appreciated Danielle

  5. Thank you Sorry I didn't make the part clear about the returns label - it was is in the package already a pre printed sticker you just have to ask them if you can return it with it being an electrical item.
  6. Hi I received a laptop from Very just over 2 weeks ago but it was damaged when I received it. After a long conversation with Very they arranged for me to return it - I took this back to the post office and used the return slip to send it back via royal mail 48hr tracked. I received an automated text at the end of last week advising me that Very haven't yet received the laptop I searched for my receipt to track the return but I cannot find it. I have searched every where but cannot find it I went to the post office where I returned it and they said that they cannot retrieve my tracking number for me even though I have the date and time I made the return but they could perhaps retrieve cctv footage of me making the return and to call in tonight (monday) Has anybody had this happen to them? Where do you stand? I cant imagine royal mail being very helpful as they would be liable for the missing item £700 I have yet to call Very as I am so worried at what they will say. Thank you mp3lover
  7. I have since received a letter from rbs advising they requested proof of signature as the signature on the loan agreement did not match the signature I had put on the slip I had to return. Strange as my signature has not changed in the last 15 years! Thanks Dani
  8. Hi, I filed a ppi claim with the rbs on a loan I had some time ago I received a letter around 2 weeks ago basically saying On this occasion i have been unable to confirm precisely what information you where given at the time you purchased the policy. In the circumstances, as a gesture of goodwill and without any admission of liability, the bank is prepared to make you the offer detailed below: I returned the slip signed to say I would accept there offer around 2 weeks ago. In the meantime another ppi claim also with the rbs has been paid into my account no problems and I only sent the slip back last week. I called rbs to query the first claim of why it was taking so long and the lady I spoke with has advised I need to take my driving license or passport into branch to be copied and sent to them before they will pay the funds to my bank account. When I asked her why she said to verify it was me who signed the slip. I find it a little strange as the it's only £278 but they have already paid £2678.25 no questions asked from my other claim. Is it really to verify who I am or is it for something else? Thanks Dani
  9. I had a bank charge coming out of my account on Thur 7th April that would take me overdrawn on the Thursday morning I asked my husband to pay in enough money to cover it. On arriving at the bank he was advised that the systems are down and they could not take any payments and to try again later. As he was working he managed to pop in again in the afternoon but they still had the same problem. As we where both working we had no way to get to the bank again until Saturday morning to pay in the money (at a different branch) I advised the bank as I was paying in the money what had happened and was told take it up with the branch involved. I waited until my new statement arrived to see that they had charged me for being overdrawn for 6 days £30.00 as the money I had paid in did not clear to my account until the Monday. I went to the branch where the problem had happened (26th April) and was told it should not be a problem and that the bank manager would need to have a look at the problem. Today I have looked at my on-line banking and they have taken the charges that where due and I am now overdrawn again..... It's been 3 weeks since I went into branch to advise of the problem and they don't seem to have done a thing. I am going to call them when they open today to see what's going on. Will they do anything or am I just kidding myself?!!!! Thanks Dani
