  1. I had more then £2000 in my bank account when I made a payment of £2000 to a company on the phone through a debit card. Normally the money goes out of your account within a day or two from your account to that company.and also your amount is frozen untill a payment to that company is made and we cannot withdraw that money. But in my case, money was neither withdrawn nor was frozen even after a month's time. I kept withdrawing and putting further money into my account untill one day I recieved a letter from the halifax that I am overdrawn about £1600. I was surprised because last time when I withdrew the money. I did have a credit balance. When I made the enquiry I found that more then a month ago the payment which I made to company of £2000 has just been taken from the account which made my account go in debit. I assuming that the £2000 must have already been taken from the account so whatever is in the account is my own money have been withdrawing. I told the bank that it was your mistake not taking the money out in time or freezing that money made me spend it. But anyway I am still prepared to return the money in installments to you but don't charge any interest on it as it was not my fault. But the bank was not prepared to accept his fault and has charged me about £400 interest and also defaulted me on my credit file. Please someone tell me what should I do?
