  1. I don't know what you mean about group? I don't know where to go next, but the bank said they wouldn't help as did PayPal.
  2. Halifax. Even replying to this thread I touch the screen and get something I didn't want. At least it's just an advert or back a step, not some immediate payment rubbish.
  3. I said I want to start a change back, I said it was fraud, passed to 2 departments, and they said nothing could be done. They wish they could. Don't use your mobile one handed and push up the screen with out thinking a cash grab is at work.
  4. Spoke to bank. They said nothing they can do. I'm pretty disappointed.
  5. This sounds like what I will do. Badoo have replied and refused refund. You only have to slip using phone one handed and they snatch money. Will PP not use a collection agency against me?

  7. It was paypal, it's apparently tied to Badoo as I used it previously on there. I didn't now it was saved to just take payemnts. At the moment it's a pending in my bank, but already missing from balance.
  8. I made a payment on the site Badoo, a small payment via paypal. Later when clicking through the site on mobile scrolling the screen i touched join for life and immediately had a note saying paid. Firstly, I didn't want to join, Secondly, if I had, I would expect to be asked how I wanted to pay. I cant see how they held/store/remember my #paypal details and how how to remove them now I know they do this. I immediately contacted paypay and entered a dispute, then contacted #Badoo. They cancelled the membership. Now they have said they are taking the payment even though they acknowledged cancellation/they cancelled the membership and the mistake was with them storing payment details. Paypal have closed the dispute and the money has been taken, this is not a small amount an left me in financial difficulty. The system is set up to grab money. What can I do?
  9. Car returned to me today. Inspection said steering un related to accident. Paint on door done. Bonnet/headlight removed refit and all in line. Bonnet needs a slam to close but it actually closes and I can't get my hand between the bonnet and one headlight. No mention of the fuel that was never replaced. A lot of unnecessary heartache.
  10. I have been contacted by Nationwide, but as I was unable to take notes and driving (on hands free) I 'm not totally sure of what is happening next. I have to call them back tomorrow with the phone number for Hoopers. The are going to look at the bonnet and "resolve it one way or another" but commented you would not authorize any better quality part? After tomorrows calls I will update, and I haven't heard from your colleague Jamie.

  13. My vehicle had front end damage, some visible to me some not. Hastings arranged for the vehicle to be taken to Nationwide Crash Repair on a Wednesday, this didn't happen till pm on the Thursday. A day off work for no reason. I was left with a vehicle with a flat spare tyre. It took over a week and several calls to get this sorted. When I was informed my vehicle was ready, I said I couldn't take delivery till 3.30pm, and was told it would have to driven to me as the transport drivers would be over on their miles/times. But any fuel used would be replaced, it wasn't. On delivery I pointed out the bonnet wasn't closed properley and wouldn't close, the driver called Nationwide who said they passed it so I would have to speak to Hastings. I have done time and time again, both Hastings and Nationwide are saying I need to speak to the other. They are saying a cheaper bonnet had to be used to make the repair economicle. This would be fine if it actually fit. They also replaced a headlight. The bonnet touches the seal on this headlight but I can put my hand between the bonnet and other headlight. Either the bonnet is fitted incorrectly or just the wrong size, or the headlight is in the wrong place. The fact that the bonnet would lock should be reason enough to get this sorted. The drivers door had to have paint work done, some bare metal is showing. Since the accident, the steering wheel is slightly out of line, apparently I should have reported this at the time. I didn't notice at the time. Hastings said they would arrange an inspection. Today I was called by Hoopers Engineers who had been give the job of inspcecting the steering. They told me I would have to arrange for a garage with a ramp for them to use. I don't have time to do this and as a Fully Comprehensive customer an absolutley astonished I was asked. I am due to go on holiday in 3 weeks, where I have to drive on the motorway, not even thinking of the steering, I am woried about the bonnet coming open, also water getting in the gaps. This needs sorting ASAP.

    They are so stupid aren't they. I have been contacted twice by them now asking why I haven't returned the old TV and when will I do so. This, the TV they took from me in store and never returned. Can anyone help them?

    They really don't know what they are doing. On the same day as they call and give me a code to take in store and collect a tv, they call and say will a sunday delivery be ok for the tv they have decided to give as the replacement. I'm in 2 minds as to take both!! Anyway, they did deliver one, on Sunday. The driver called me as promised to say they are about an hour away, at 1:50pm. 4.50pm they turn up. No delivery note, and box open. I accepted the item, and it works, but think i need to get a delivery note/warranty date sorted.

    Had a call from Comet to say I can have exchange to the same value. Now, with the VAT increase it may be there isn't one of the same value. Should I be expected to add money to it? Plus, how about the journey i had to make to the store when they didn't call to let me know the TV wasn't there? I have had a response to the email to the MD, just saying they are looking into it and it could take 3 days. I may wait for this before going to store and seeing what replacement I can get.
  18. Thought I should update this. I was paid by Visa the full amount for the quote on a warranty. They did tell me that it was subject to them claiming it back from the dealer and they have 60 days. Anyway, I passed on all I could about the dealer. About 3 weeks after the payout and me taking out the warranty, the dealer calls me and asks what warranty is being claimed for. What I think. He then goes on to tell me that the card machine didn't belong to the car dealer and the firm that do still own will take me to court if I continue this. He then offers me half of the claim to drop it. I decline. He gets rather irrate and I tell him I will not speak to him again and all his correspondance should be via Visa. Day 59, the bank call me to tell me they can not claim the money back as the dealer says customer refused warranty, I almost fell over! I was in shock, but asked how can they accept that and who are they siding with? Right from the start I sent all the information to them including copies of the warranty certificate issued by the dealer. The bank said they have one more chance to claim and it can be 30 days. This has passed, I think, and I haven't heard from them. I assume they actually confronted the dealer and questioned his excuses. So for now, alls well. Do I now go for the other issues, with the advertised features not actually on the car i.e. Electronic Climate Control but only air conditioning?     Now it has it's own thread, I'll add the background. I returned a 14” LCD TV to Comet Merry Hill on the 25th August with a fault. It was Within the warranty. They said they would not replace but repair and it would be sent away for this. I was told it would take approximately 2 weeks. The date I was given was 7th September. On the 5th I was contacted and told the parts had not arrived and it would be a further 2 weeks with a new date of the 15th September. On the 13th I was once again contacted and told the parts had not arrived and a new date of 24th September was given. This time I was not contacted prior to this date so expected the TV to have been repaired. I went to the store on the 24th, and was told they didn’t have my TV and would not have a delivery that day. They couldn’t even find the job sheet and had to copy my copy. Today I was called to say no eta could be given on the parts. I had previously written to them and spoke to the head office requesting either a replacement unit of full refund. They will not do this. I do not have any faith the TV will actually be repaired even if they can find it. I’m not being unreasonable after 1month, many broken promises and being made a fool of going into the store to be told it wasn’t there because no one had the courtesy to contact me.

    I have just emailed the MD regarding a TV taken back to store under warranty. It has been a month and a day and they say they have no ETA on the parts, but as they couldn't find the job sheet I don't have any faith they will repair it even if they find it. I don't want it back.

Had a quote for a warranty, not from the ones that would have been doing it as they have stopped underwriting policies, so I googled and came up with UVW who will accept a 6 year old car with my mileage. It is a far better policy, so the bank may so no. If I accept their offer on this, is that the end of it for them. I ask because I don't to settle for less than I should have but don't want to be asking for something I am not entitled to.
  23. I have just spoke to First Direct. I told them I wanted to chargeback, after being passed around and kept on hold, they have told me to get a quote for an equivalant policy and send it to them, they will then attempt to do a chargeback. I'm not too up on how this works, is it right Visa attemp to recover for me, or do I get the visa protection and they pay me back and then they try to get their money back?
  24. Thanks, the mobile is ok but a woman answers and won't tell me where they have moved to but when I asked if it was Netherton motors she said yes. She can't help and the guy is never there. The other landline was a private house now. I checked that item 9 and while interesting, I can't apply it if I can't find the dealer. I was really hoping Visa would help, do you think the SOGA is something they should act on?
