  1. Well great news at last guys, got a letter today from Lloyds agreeing to remove default, they have refunded all the interest and are asking me to pay what's left which is £120. To be honest this is a pretty fair outcome as yes technically I was due them money and also now they have agreed to remove default from credit file. Big thanks to dx100uk for putting up with me thru this and all the advice. Just got the letter so haven't checked credit file and have no idea how long this process takes. Once again guys many thanks it now appears to be nearly over thanks
  2. Don't fancy my chances but going to send off another letter saying I didn't get default had no chance to rectify situation and that practically the full amount is made up of interest charges etc and why ot take so long for default, can but try.
  3. Hi dx yup two months to get SAR. In the data system log it says default letter sent? Says this a few times with question marks on the end. Gather this means they sent it then, bollocks gonna have another 4 years of this on my credit file. Have written a letter about default as yet no reply.
  4. Hi guys I know this is a never ending story but need more advice on next step, here is the update, I did an SAR to Lloyds and after a bit of hassle finally received a huge pack of stuff, to cut a long story short there doesn't seem to be a default notice in the SAR stuff I don't think Lloyds ever sent one. Can I challenge the default on this? If so how do I go about it and what do I send in a letter and who do I send it to? Once again many thanks for all the advice given.
  5. Hi haven't had time to copy documents been working all weekend. Last question on this guys, haven't acknowledged or made payment on this account since May 2005, llyods then default me on my credit report nov 2010, I live in Scotland so llyods have defaulted me once the debt has been stattue barred. I really need this removed from my credit file how do I go about this?? Llyods defo still own the debt as its them that listed the default. Need advice on who to contact about getting this default off as I can't get any credit now!
  6. Hi thanks for replying once again. I used Experian to check and found this default, I moved house when i had this overdraft with llyods so i didnt get a default letter first i knew of it was when i was refused a loan from Tesco and they said it was because i had a default on file from nov 2010. Only documents i have are from debt collectors and account statements proving its stattue barred. The only reason i think its took so long is that the overdraft was at £90 when i moved house and banks then its took a while for intrest charges etc to build up over time as i had a £300 overdraft does that make any sense. will get together any documents i have and post them over weekend. Gutted about this as cant get any credit anywhere because of this default for £312 seems it doesnt matter its such a small amount or its stattue barred.
  7. What does the update date mean? they have defaulted my credit file in november 2010 i now cant get any loans or credit cards as i have this default! how do i find out how long this will be on my file i know its 6 years but its been over 6 years since i acknowledged this debt. Lloyds defaulted me in 2010 despite me not paying since 2006. So will it be 2016 before its removed? Who do i contact to try and get it off my credit report?
  8. Great so I have five years of waiting now, sorry to be a pest can I dispute this or am I stuck with this on my file now? Thanx for the help
  9. Yeah sick sending letters that they just keep sending me copy's of bank statements that prove its statute barred, how stupid are they? Anyway it's more my credit report I'm worried about can I do anything to get this off???
  10. Credit security limited will not go away despite me sending them Stattue barred letters how do I now deal with this? Also my credit file now shows a default on this debt I have with lloyds tsb despite no payment or acknowledgment since 2006. I stay in Scotland so know after 5years it's Stattue barred however lloyds have put defaulted 26/11/10 on my credit file. Two questions are how do I once and for all get rid of dca's and how do I get rid of lloyds from my credit report? This has been two years of them offering me deals with 50% off if I pay etc the bill is around £300 gotta say there has been times i have considered just paying to get this over with unfortunately cash is low at these difficult times.
  11. Hi thanks again for advice, changing the subject slightly here but my current account is with bank of scotland i.e part of llyods banking if they link the two accounts could they possibly offset from my bos account to pay the old llyods debt even though its stattue barred? Worried if i contact lloyds they will take money out my bos account after i tell them iv no intention on paying!
  12. Hi back yet again, this really is never ending these companys just dont give up! sent another letter to moorcroft with stattue barred details etc start of feb havent heard a peep since thought it was finally over, no such luck now received a letter from Credit Security Limited demanding payment what is going on just seems as i get rid of one company they just pass it on! Next step is? According to them i have 7 days to pay which i aint gonna do.
  13. Hi thanks for reply, so will i just send another stattue barred letter off telling them since there has been no payment since may 2005 it is stattue barred and not to contact me again
  14. Hi guys just an update on whats happening now, well to start i sent the stattue barred letter away and moorcroft put my account on hold and said they would get back to me that was early december and untill now havent heard anything else, untill now i have received a letter from moorcroft today saying they contacted llyods and that they confirmed i had a £200 overdraft to which i made a payment of £40 in may 2005 and have provided the bank statement, again they say my account on hold for 2 weeks but they still want payment? Are they just trying their luck as it is over five years since any payments made and i live in scotland, or am i missing something? whats my next step any ideas?
