  1. It's no longer on my credit file. I received a letter from Santander on Saturday saying "with accordance to our rights your account and the associated balance has been sold to Hoist Portfolio 2 Ltd on 15th Ocober 2014". The debt collection letter also says payment is due to HPH2 Ltd.
  2. Hoping some can help.... I sent off a CCA request back in January 2011 to Santander and so far they have never sent any of the requested documents through. It's now been 2 years since I have received any letter from Santander/debt collectors but today I have received a debt collection letter from Robinson Way. Does this mean I have to start the CCA request all over again? Is there a letter I can send them? Surely they can't just ignore my request and each time send it to a new debt collectors? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I recently called British Gas out as my boiler stopped working. I had to pay for a £99 callout charge plus £280 for a years cover. They came out and got the boiler working but a week later the hot water seemed to be going to radiators and not the taps so I called up again. I told them the problem and they booked me an appointment (no mention that there would be a charge). I have now received a bill for the callout as it was the first callout since boiler breakdown and it was within 2 weeks of taking out the insurance. I've asked someone to listen to the tape but was told they'll look into it but the bill will still be payable. Surely a company has to inform you that there will be a charge otherwise any company could send out a bill and not tell customers? Is there anything I can do? Thanks
  4. Hi, I sent a CCA request to Moorcroft (regarding Egg) back in February 2011 and had it returned with the £1 postal order saying their client couldn't supply the details at this time. After a few more letters and knocks on door I didn't hear anymore from them until the beginning of 2012 when I received a letter from Arrow stating the debt had been passed to them. I replied with a letter stating that I still hadn't had a reply from my previous CCA request I had sent to Moorcroft and received a letter back stating that they had returned the account back to their client. On 14th March I have received a letter from ME III 'This letter is notification that we, ME III Limited have had assigned to us all right, title, interest and benefit in the debts due in relation to the account previously owed to Arrow'. It then goes on to stated that i need to call to arrange payment. I had some great support and advice on here before as you'll from the previous posts above and I was hoping someone may be able to give me some more advice on what I should do now? Do I need to send another CCA request as it has been 2 years since the first was sent back? Thank you for any help you can give me.
  5. Hi Bazooka Boo, Thanks for your advice. I've sent Consumerdirect an email so hopefully I get a reply soon. My husband is making sure he's here on Wednesday to hand him the letter. Should I send Moorcroft another letter? Also can the man carry on visiting my house after he has been given the letter on Wednesday? I appreciate all your help
  6. After Moorcroft returning my £1 postal order and stating in a letter that they cannot produce an agreement I have just had a knock at my door.... luckily my husband answered as it was a man from Moorcroft! My husband said I wasn't in and he left a card stating he'd be back on Wednesday night. Worried now as I didn't think they could do this. I'm the only one in Wednesday and do not want someone turning up on my door. How can I stop this?
  7. Just got ANOTHER letter from Moorcroft - This one states ...... "Despite our letters to you, you have defaulted on the agreement. As a result of this your account has now been passed to our home collections division for action. This may involve our local representative calling at your home address within the next few days to try to assist you and to seek to establish how you propose to settle the balance outstanding. If no satisfactory agreement is made with us you may leave us with no alternative but to recommend to our client that solicitors commence legal proceedings against you without further notice. Surely that can't turn up at my house when i'm still waiting for the agreement they can't produce and a breakdown on payments made? I have noticed the letter does use the words MAY INVOLVE and MAY LEAVE US. Really don't want people at my home.
  8. Just picked up a call on my home phone from Moorcroft (by mistake). Told them straight away I will only deal with them through letters so I have proof of what is being said. The lady then told me to confirm my address and post code and she would tell me why she was calling.... Again I repeated that I would only deal with them through letters. The lady then told me that as I hadn't replied to their last letter (which I posted on here) they would send out one more letter to me then they would start a litergation against me. That's where I ended the call. Should I be worried?
  9. Thanks for all your replies ..... Why have they sent the letter stating the client doesn't have the agreement without a date? Do you think there's a reason why they don't want it dated or just a mistake?
  10. After receiving the last letter from Moorcroft stating Egg didn't have the agreement I have now received the letter attached which basically says I'm not keeping up the agreed payment and if I don't pay they'll recommend the client instruct their solicitors to commence legal proceedings against me. If this is just to scare then it works! Got a feeling I'll be getting a lot of these letters. Moorcroft_req_payment.pdf
  11. Thanks ..... Will keep hold of everything and sit and wait to see what happens. If I get more letters from Moorcroft should I reply?
  12. Does it matter if Moorcroft have returned the postal order? Does this mean the CCA request is cancelled? Hope that's not a stupid question. Can I just wait now to see if and when they produce an agreement. Will I keep getting letters from Moorcroft?
  13. On the 24th January I sent a CCA request to Moorcroft recorded delivery and also included the £1 postal order. Today I have received a letter with the £1 postal order attached. The letter confirms that at this time their client is currently unable to prove a signed copy of the agreement relating to the account. It goes on to say please be aware this doesn't mean the debt doesn't exist in the eyes of the court. I've attached a copy of the letter I received today as I do not know what I do from here. I don't want to be taken to court and receive court fees. Any help would be great MoorcroftNoAgreement Erased.pdf
