Hi All My first post here but I thought I would share my ongoing experience with my Freezer and the Comet repair team. It's probably all best summed up in the message I just sent them: Dear Sirs I first contacted your call centre in September 2010 to report that the Electrolux Freezer I purchased on 19th October 2008 could not reached its optimal freezing temperature of -18c. The latest job number attaching is 5488680. Since then I have had some 9 visits from your engineers and the problem is getting steadily worse. Today was the first occasion that one of your engineers thought to take a separate temperature ready and found that the freezer was indeed deficient and the engineer is going back to consider yet another potential solution that may or may not work. Today was also the first occasion that I was warned by your engineers that the food in my freezer is potentially dangerous to eat and should be disposed of. So for 4 months, my family have been eating food that is unsafe to eat and not once over that time did any of your engineers think to warn me. The freezer is kept fairly full so it should have been quite obvious that we were still using it. In fact one of the engineers actually state that he thought the temperature readouts were an unhelpful innovation as without it, I wouldn’t know I had a problem! I feel that you have had enough attempts to fix this problem now and I am still without a usable freezer. Therefore, I require compensation for the spoilt food and a replacement freezer on a like for like basis. I look forward to hearing from you in early course. I have a 5 year warranty but reading other people's experiences, I suspect that I will be the net loser out of this! Anyway - just for info and I will update this as time goes on. Ian
