Had a telephone call with DC's after recieving a letter from them. I called them and told them I have no immediate funds but I would be able to pay them in Feb if they could 'hold' things for now. You can guess how that went....'attachment of earnings' 'youll be charged interest' 'sending someone round for imediate and full payment..' and so on, I told them that I would contact them in writing and if they wanted to contact me to do it in writing as I was trying to be fair by explaining when I could pay...
I'm not sure which letter I should send them? The request for CCA? or should I write something along the lines of, as explained during our telephone conversation I do not have funds to settle this account at the moment but will be in touch when my financial situation improves. Although in financial hardship, I'm keen to settle my debt and so I have included a £1 PO as a token gesture and will do so monthly until my situation allows otherwise?
Or is there a better template letter?
Thanks in advance.
