  1. Hi I recently checked my credit file with NODDLE and on there was an entry from Motormile which stated they were chasing a student loan. I went to university in 1992 and pay my student loan through my wages. I put in a dispute to NODDLE and have received a letter today from NODDLE stating that they have contacted MOTORMILE FINANCE UK LTD who have advised them that the disputed entry cannot be amended as per my request? I have had payday loans in the past so presume they are trying to cover their tracks by saying this is a student loan, is this is FRAUD? Also how can a director with an IVA be a director? Any advise would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the reply JamesJ, much appreciated but again the monthly amount charged puts many people off joining plus on a personal note, I would like the option of taking insurance.
  3. Unfortunately the BSc I want to take is not available in the Open University. (BSc Animal Welfare & Behaviour)
  4. This may seem a strange post but I am now receiving payments from the CSA which apparently are 'arrears' from years ago! I noticed a payment into an old but still active bank account from the CSA? Great some may say but as my son is now 21, I found it a bit odd and thought it must be a mistake and they will take it back so leave it alone, so I contacted the CSA with my old account number and found out that these payments are arrears which go into an account known as 'Acc 21'. Whilst it is great for me and my son, my question to the CSA was: what would have happened to this money if this account was no longer active AND I have moved a number of times since claiming CSA, where would this money have gone? I got no answer to that. So anyone out there, please make sure you inform the CSA of any house moves, bank changes etc, who know you might get a nice surprise like I did
  5. I recently took up the offer of the 30 day free trial. I cannot see how Experian justify the monthly fee AND I am given no CHOICE as to whether I take out their compulsory insurance??? I also found that their credit score differed from the others, how is that???
  6. Thanks for reply abv123def, that seems to be the hurdle I keep coming up against. I would just like to fulfil a dream before I meet my maker but its looking like that won't be possible. I do come under disability for breast cancer but am in remission and don't really qualify for anything else. I have worked since I was 15 years old and would love to do this but not meant to be I guess
  7. Hi can anyone help me with a query. I am 59, working and a housing association tenant and pay full rent, council tax etc. However, I am seriously thinking of asking for a career break for 3 years to take on a BSc degree course ( I know this sounds daft at my age but I have had to wait a long time). I have checked for student finance and can get that which is roughly £7000 and as a student will not pay council tax but I cannot get an answer about the rent and whether I can apply for housing benefit. All the websites state that unless you meet a specific criteria, a student cannot apply for housing benefit. But I am the student and the tenant?? I have been to CAB and they can't find an answer either. The only income I will have will be a very small pension of £84 pm and my student loan/grant which equates to £583 per month for first two installments and £466 for last installment, totalling £667 pm to live on. My rent is currently £468 per month. Can anyone help me with this one, I don't want to miss this opportunity but if I have to pay rent from this then it won't be possible.
  8. Hi I have been a member of the Noddle Credit report site since it started, recently paid £10 to get additional information but for 3 ays now I am able to log onto the site but just get an apology saying they cannot get my report. I have emailed a number of times to ask why but am getting no replies??? Anyone else getting this? It has been a very useful site and feel a little bit disappointed this is happening and getting no replies? Cheers Lorna
  9. Thanks renegadeimp, any advice on the second part, can MH own the debt or simply just be the collector?
  10. Hi, i like many others in bother with PDLs. I took out a loan with PTP for £600, paid back £353.64 but then got into difficulty and couldn't pay. I contacted all of the PDLs by email and heard nothing but was then bombarded (and I do mean bombarded) by texts, mobile calls, landline calls and even at work calls, endless day after day after day, sometimes even 7 days a week but mostly 6! Recently Mckenzie Hall stated harassing me 4/5 times a day and recently at work. I work in a shared office and could not take the call so just said that she (me) wasn't in the office and stated 'would you like to leave a message'. To which the caller gave their number and the name of the company! Now that could have been anyone in my office taking that message, is this legal? Secondly, I have now received a letter from them stating: "We write to give you formal notice that Pounds to Pocket has legally assigned the rights to the above debt to mackenzie Hall Debt Purchase. This means that Mackenzie Hall Debt Purchase now legally own the debt." the rest is the usual taking you to court etc etc etc Plus they have registered a default with callcredit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am taking steps to contact all and offer some form of payment but these guys are aggressive. I have changed my mobile number to stop the texts etc. Thank you
  11. Hiya yes they did that with me too but got my money back. Have a look at this site for others it has happened too and they never visited myloans either: http://www.canyoutrustthem.com/index.php?go=details&id=23500
  12. Also, after some digging due to numerous phone calls, texts from people I had never heard of, I found out that once you fill in a loan application, this information is collected by LeadX and sold on.
  13. Hi I have dealt with both Wonga and Myloans.co.uk. I was recently looking for a loan and came across myloans.co.uk, filled in my details and hey presto £69.99 taken out of my account without my permission but was probably within the T&Cs. I immediately emailed myloans said that I had not given permission and wanted it returned. Believe it or not, I got an email back saying 'fine', your account cancellled you will be reimbursed within 30days, took them 2 minutes to take it but 30 to pay back. I received my money last week. They are a broker company and I see now on their website that it clearly states they will charge this amount and it is at the very top of their webpage.
  14. Hi I am one of the many thousands in the payday debt mess however, I am trying to get it sorted. I have contacted payplan this weekend and am waiting for them to contact me. My first task was to set up another bank account which I have done and will transfer my wages etc into that account so they can't touch it, I have 6 loans on the go............................... I have been reading stacks of stuff on the internet and wondered if there is a template letter available for me to send to the payday loan companies to ask for a repayment plan and also all the legal jargon about harassment etc plus stopping interest. I have another problem though in that I have a current account and the overdraft is maxed out, what will happen when I transfer my wages into another account??
  15. Hi For anyone dealing with Wonga debts, I have a story for you. I used wonga regularly with no problems, every time I borrowed and paid back, my agreed amount went up.................. you know the rest. Anyway I got into difficulty, contacted them to no avail and they cleaned out my bank account and left me penniless. Once my tears had stopped and I had gained some strength, I decided to fight back. So I used the internet to get all the people associated with wonga, both here and abroad, got all the CEO names, and everyone connected with Blackpool Football Club. I wrote my letter outlining what had happened, copied one to each person and sent them off recorded delivery with a mention that I would be contacting the local blackpool radio station with my story also, I could not have cared less at that time of the embarrassment to myself. Within a couple of days the money they had taken was back in my account. I arranged a payback and have since got rid of this debt, never to use them again EVER!!
