  1. i know lol, exactly what i said, i think out of pride he kept quiet in the hope he would get delivery and bought all the excuses from the retailer. i am certainly, with the kind help of this forum, going to make sure a claim is filed and try to add up as much in costs as we can. people like this retalier need punishing.
  2. thank you very much for your help here. very much appreciated. LBA going in the post!!
  3. ok so our option is a small claims court? is there a POC we can use? and what can we claim for? deposit plus 8% plus phone calls chasing etc?
  4. Long story short, trying to help out a friend who put a 600 deposit down over one year ago on a 1800 pound sofa, at a small independant furniture retailer, and the retailer keeps fobbing him off with it will be delivered next week, next week etc Obviously after a year this excuse is running thin. We have al the paperwork/reciepts/invoices to confirm depostis paid. What action can we take to recover our deposit please?
  5. why are martin lewis and co off other consumer websites, urging people to fire in claims quickly before the banks win this case? i read it like you, but with the impending double dip recession, maybe the banks can no longer afford to pay the ppi out and need a 2 or 3 year block with appeals etc will be interesting to see what if anything the FSA do, if the banks get claims on hold... it will be for years.
  6. scammed and will all the consumer sites shut up again? do nothing? seems that way, i wonder who funds them???
  7. where is everybody on this site? this is big current news and nobody seems to be discussing it? have they all abandoned ship for another site????
  8. lol, do you not remember the bank charges debacle? apparently the OFT were on our side apparently the FSA are on our side this time... dont fear... hahaha all over! and deep down you all know it!
  9. I am livid, incandescent with rage! The BBA have started high court action against the FSA over new PPI rules due for Dec 1st. Spoke to Barclays about my claim today and they have told me all complaints relating to PPI are now on hold. Are we being stiched up like we were with Bank Charges? I think so... and are we going to roll over and let it happen again?
