  1. Thanks for the quick reply. I'd just be terrified to go to court. I don't know if they are legally entitled but it 'is' my debt. It's for an old utility bill if that helps. Maybe I'm just too honest. lol. I have been paying by cheque. I have requested their details so I can set up a standing order but any request I make is ignored. Thanks again. You have put my mind at ease. Paul
  2. Hi all, I am trying to get a DCA to accept £10 a month until I can pay them more. I have already started to pay this amount but they have been sulking and threatening me because it is not a 'firm arrangement'. After a strongly worded letter they have sent me a financial statement for me to fill in and I have a couple of questions... 1-Is it in my best interests to fill in the financial statement? 2-I have unsecured loans and credit cards(all up to date). Will they take payments to these into account or just see them as 'more in the pot to share'? 3-The DCA have also requested proof of income (pay slips, benefit books etc..) Should I provide these? 4-In any case, If they refuse my offer, and I keep paying, What are the chances they'd still take me to court? Im not trying to get out of paying what I owe. I just need some time to clear some other bills. Thanks for reading. Paul.
