  1. Hello all today I have seen that despite me cancelling my card ageas ago that £200 has been taken by the money shop today. I spoke to Barclays and they say as they are a financial company me cancelling my card makes no difference at all and that they can take the money if it's owed to them? I am astounded that is the case, are they right?
  2. yeah they have all details from when i first took out the loan. They have taken nearly £450 now i only borrowed £200
  3. Happened again this morning I had some money come into my account overnight and they've totally cleaned it out im in so much trouble i needed this money today. I dont see why i cant dispute this with the bank and get my money back today. Its my account and my money!
  4. ok thanks sorry i already started another thread in here may want to merge them or something?
  5. Hello all 3 seperate payments have debited my account this morning totalling £100. They have been taken by 2 seperate companies, both of the Payday Loan sector. I was warned they would do this and to cancel the card, but stupidly never got round to it in time before I was paid my salary overnight. I accept this part of what's happened is all my fault. The issue I have is I called Barclays who say there is nothing they can do until the payment shows up on my statement as debited. (At the moment it just shows as deducted from the available funds). I know for a fact this is untrue. A few months ago I booked a flight using my debit card but the website said payment didn't go through and the flight booking was cancelled, no tickets were issued etc. I checked my account that day and realised the flight company had actually taken some money out. I called Barclays up instantly informed them as to what had happened and they cancelled the pending transactions and the money was back in my account within 10mins. Why can't they do this for me again? Is there anything else I can do to get this money back I really can't afford to be without it.

  7. I received one call at work so sent a letter to all of them stating I wanted that stopped and to remove my work number from their records. Also said they were welcome to call my mobile any time and i'd answer it if I could. I have never got another call at work just make sure you don't ignore the calls to your mobile phone as they are going to keep ringing that unfortunately.
  8. OK today I am scheduled to make some monthly payments but I don't have the money and therefore will default. Does anyone recommend me paying say £5 to each rather than nothing and maybe a letter I can send them to explaining what i've done?
  9. had one or two calls but nothing too bad. they removed my work number as soon as i asked and have dealt with me via email since
  10. In a carbon copy situation as you and wagedayadvance have asked for an I&E form before accepting my offer of £40pm off the balance of £312.50. I'll let you lnow what they say once I send a very basic response to them.
  11. yeah it's a new a/c no way am I giving them the card details! Conmpany is TXTLOAN. Also paydayuk sent me a letter saying i'[ve failed to contact them blah blah despite the numeorus emails i've sent and they've even replied to. On this letter are there bank details, does anyone recommend I pay the £40pm i've offered into that a/c despite them so far not agreeing to any payment plan? I don't really want to pay them £40 only for them to say that's coming off the interest I owe and not the balance.
  12. ^^thanks Another creditor has come back to me saying they don't give out their bank detials for security reasons and I must give them card details. No way am I going to do that and they've already accepted my pay offer in writing so what shall I say next?
  13. GOT THIS FROM PAYDAY EXPRESS Thank you for your recent email with reference to repayment. In order to consider setting a repayment arrangement on your account we will need you to provide a breakdown of your income and expenditure, proof of the change in your financial situation since taking out the loan, and a list of creditors, along with an offer of repayment. Unfortunately we are unable to hold your account to wait for these documents as it was previously held, and no proof was received. I urge you to send this to us as soon as possible to avoid further charges on your account ARE THEY ENTITLED TO ANYTHING THEY REQUEST HERE. I'M CONCERNED CHARGES ARE CONTINUING TO BE ADDED ON MY ACCOUNT.
  14. Things are moving along at last. Had interest and charges frozen and payment offers accepted by Uncle Buck, Mr Lender, Safeloans and TXTLOAN. Lendingstream, payday uk and paydayexpress completely ignoring my emails choosing instead to call me and leave mssages at home and on mobile.
  15. I have never been charged a processing fee when taking a payday loan out.
  16. Further to your email, all repayment arrangements need to be discussed via the telephone as arrangements are not made via email. Your account has been held until the 21st of October to receive a completed income & expenditure & proof of any change in circumstances. Due to the fact that the loan had been taken on the 27th of August, & these type of loans are not designed as a solution to long term financial difficulties I will have to advise you that the minimum repayment on this account & the balance of £600 is £70 per month. Unless your financial statements proves that this is not a feasible arrangement that you can commit to. Regards any ideas where i go next with these??
  17. Arrears Amount : 465.00 Despite our previous communication, your account remains in arrears. Unless you contact us within three days to arrange repayment this matter will be referred to our collections dept. Their procedure will include:- 1) instructing a debt collection agency, MeritForce, to make contact with you directly in order to visit you at your home or place of work. 2) commencing proceedings against you in the County Court. There will be significant additional charges should this become necessary and your credit status will be at risk. In addition we may also apply to your bank for the entire balance outstanding on your next payday, if this payment is not honoured your bank may also impose charges. If you are in financial difficulty it is important that you contact us now and we will do our best to assist you. I strongly urge you to make contact today either by email or by telephone on 0800 328 9263 before further action is required. A fee of £10 has been added to your account. Regards Uncle Buck

  21. Stupid1 that is great exactly what I was looking for thanks so much!
  22. Hi, just got my first bad phone call. Mr lender just called me saying i've ignored them and they have a record of me ignoring their calls. I said I didn't have the funds to pay and she said "basically you don't care and we will be ringing you all day every day until you pay us". I have emailed them twice already before today, once informing them I needed 7 days to sort my finances out and once with my offer of £40pm. They never replied to any. I have just sent them another email with my offer repeated and telling them I request in writing that they do not call my place of work. Luckily I was the only one in my office at the time or it could have been very embarrassing. I'm worried now they will keep doing this, really worried. Any more I can do to stop them calling me at work?
  23. Quick update. Safeloans/Payday Ok have accepted my offer which is good. They are sending their bank details by post. Wagedayadvance want to see an I/E form, do I have to send this?
  24. OK I have offered them all a payment of £40pm. Uncle Buck have replied straight away saying this has not been accepted. They want £113 a month for 4 months but I can't afford that. Shall I persist with offering them the £40?
