  1. I realise this forum has been dormant for some time, but I just read the post about staff being paid more on saturdays - you're all 'aving a laff... Tesco's don't pay more to their staff on saturdays... Trust me! The reason it is more expensive is simple and already been mentioned - more demand for weekend deliveries = more scope to charge for it... Why charge the same amount for a Saturday or Sunday when the service is busy as for a Wednesday mid-morning when there's less demand but where they still have to employ staff?? This is the question you should be asking is: "Is paying £5/£6 worth the time I spent fighting other shoppers in Tesco + the petrol to drive there and back? Also, is there another time of the week I can get a delivery when it's cheaper but still convenient?"
  2. Hi, I'm a little confused (well, actually I'm very confused) and I hope someone can help me. I'm in the process of using the Enhanced Spreadsheet for calculation of interest charged on charges (this IS NOT the 8% bit - I know that comes later). I've got two accounts that I'm trying to get my money back from. With one I've been charged just over £140, and the interest due is coming out as £7.12. On the second account, I'm owed nearly £400, but the interest is coming out as £4.54. The way I've input the interest charged/balance at period end is that I've put in the required information for each month that I was charged. Is this all I need to do or do I have to input the interest for every single month (regardless of whether or not I was charged)? If the latter is the case, I've hit another problem where I have months where I have been charged interest but because the balance is in credit it doesn't show any interest owing. Also, I have one set where a £16 charge is accruing about £3 in interest over the first four months. Any Suggestions? Many Thanks!
  3. Hi, Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but at what point does the 8% County Courts Act (?) interest get applied? I ask because there are a lot of conflicting accounts (I can expand if necessary) and I like to know exactly where I stand (especially with the letter before action). From what I've largely pieced together, I need to: 1. Send a preliminary letter with a list of charges and the approximation of interest charged, without the 8% interest. 2. If I don't get any joy, I need to send a letter/notice before action, again including the list of charges but I'm not clear whether or not I can include the 8% at this stage - I'm thinking this is, again, without the 8% added....? :? 3. Still no joy, I need to file a claim with the county court, at which point I can add the 8%. Is this the case or have I completely lost it? Many Thanks
