  1. thanks. the operative word here is `may` they can get away with threatening court action by using the term `we MAY take you to court`
  2. ok quick update.... got a letter from a company called Debt Recovery Plus Ltd they say our client has instructed that we may recover the monies due to an unpaid parking charge, contact us blah blah... goes on to say if you fail to make a full payment or make contact with your proposal for payment, this account will be passed to our litigation team and legal recovery action may commence. a typical case may be referred to the county courts for an application for a county court judgement. goes on to threaten with bailiffs and my items been sold at a public auction. now i have been to court before and this letter looks all legit, is it just another step in this [problem]? edit: just been on their website and UKPC are one of there clients lol should i start to worry?
  3. **update** got a letter this morning **LEGAL ACTION PENDING** blah blah to avoid this being passed to our legal department for further action and possible further charges you are required to pay the sum of £150 within 7 days of this letter blah blah im guessing my next letter should be from `court proceedings` ?
  4. hey guys quick update, i got another letter this morning and i quote.... **FINAL REMINDER NOTICE DO NOT IGNORE** the initial parking charge of £100 has now been increased to £125 to cover admin costs. the amount payable is now £125 by 20/10/2010 failure to pay the full outstanding balance by the due date may result in a further charge of £25 to cover admin costs. further failure to pay could result in UK parking control Ltd instructing a debt collection agency to collect the outstanding amount. blah blah now im no expert but can they legally get a debt collection agency onto me/us?
  5. hehe i noticed on the letter that you can view your `offense` the photo has me entering and leaving the car park, nowhere does it have me parked illegally lol muppets
  6. hey guys *waves* i found this place just after i got my second letter from UKPC. my first letter was a fine claiming they had photographic evidence of my parking in mcdonalds, i have never been in mcdonalds in my life i was actually parked in the cinema. i immediately posted an appeal (i maybe should have done some searching first) got my second letter today saying... `the PCN was issued correctly according to the DVLA code of practice for the management of camera controlled private car parks and british association guidelines` it goes on to say the terms and conditions are clearly displayed throughout the carpark, there not of course. looking though the many internet post it looks like i should ignore this? any advice? thanks
