  1. Thanks Guys, just as I thought. Great to have confirmation.
  2. The Debt was from 2003 and became Statue Barred in 2009. The First Company to try it on was Credit Security Ltd in 2011 and then JB Debt Recovery (in Scotland) in 2013. The latest is Global Debt Recovery.
  3. Hi, Been here a couple of times and had some good advice. I have a Statued Barred Debt from 2009 but I keep getting demands on a regular basis. I have now received a demand from a third company, the two previous ones I informed them of the situation, demanded that they remove my details from their records and assumed that they had complied. It would appear that they have sold on a LIST that still includes my details. How do I deal with this?

    PPI Credit Cards

Thanks for you reply. I was preparing a big formal appeal to the Ombudsman. I'll try your suggestion first Regards
  5. I have been successful in claiming the PPi on Bank Loans from LLoyds, however the PPI on my LLoyds Credit Card was rejected, can I link the two by saying that if they accept the liability on one account then surely it follows they must accept the liability on all the accounts
  6. Credit Security are ignoring everything I write to them. Last August I received a demand with the usual threatening forms. I wrote to them asking for a copy of the Credit Agreement, Subject Access and if they had purchased the debt the Assignment Notice. I enclosed £10 & £1 P.O. to cover the fees. I also had the letter registered. I heard noting from them until last week when I received another demand. I wrote to them again on 26th pointing out that they had not acknowledged, replied or sent any of the information I had requested. I have received another demand with no reference to my letters. So what is going on?
  7. Hi, I got at total climbdown from CapQuest from this letter: Dear Sirs, I am in receipt of your letter of xx xx xxxx, which is in reply to my letter of xx xx. You have totally ignored my request for information on this account which I requested under the Freedom of Information Act 1998 which I am entitled to and you are required to submit to by the Act. I am asking again for this information and I am also requesting a true and legible Copy of the original Credit Agreement for the Account, and as you purchased this debt, The Assignment Document. These documents should be readily available and be proof of your legal right to collect this account under The Consumer Act 1974. Enclosed is the fee (£1) required by the act. Further, I would remind you that also under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, while in dispute you may not: 1. Demand any payment on the account 2. Add any interest or charges 3. Pass the account to a third party 4. Register any information with any credit agency 5. Issue a default notice related to this account You have 14 days in which to comply with the above request. With regards to your letter of the xx, because you ignored my request for information of the account under the Data Protection Act, its content amounts to intimidation and harassment. If you again ignore my requests and send me a letter like or similar to your letter of the xx then I shall treat that letter with the one with the xx as two acts of harassment under The Prevention of Harassment Act 1997 sec. 2. I have noted from your correspondence that you have an urgency to push this matter at a pace that is detrimental to the addressee, this leads me to the conclusion that this debt is in fact over 6 years old and is Statute Barred, the proof of which will be in the detail. I reserve the right to report your actions to any such regulatory authorities as I see fit. You have 14 days from receiving this letter to contact me with the above requests. Yours faithfully, You also need to send £10 for the FoI request and £1 for the Consumer Credit Act. The Post Office do postal orders for thest amounts, but buy them seperately. Also send them regestered then download the receivers signitures from the Royal Mail website. Good luck
  8. Hi, I have CapQuest on my back. They bought a debt which I know is over 6 years old. I wrote and asked for a SAR, which they ignored and sent me a Letter Before Action. I replied to this asking them again for the SAR, a copy of the Credit Agreement (fee £1) and the Assignment Document, all posted by PO reg mail. Since writing they have now replied to my first SAR request demanding £10 for admin charges and Proof of Identity!!! I feel that as they now want my identity all the threatening letters have been verging on Blackmail (see Theft Act 1968. sec 21) Any advice anyone
