  1. Got this yesterday from Moorcroft. As always, if you would be so kind, please advise... Many thanks in advance... TC Moorcroft131010.pdf
  2. So, it's been 2 weeks now and no more contact as yet... Can anyone shed any light as to what might be going on behind the scenes? I don't know why but getting more apprehensive the longer the silence goes on...? Can they just bat this back to Lloyds?
  3. I have raised a 'problem' report with Sumsung but as loutus posted above, why should I have to chase this? My main concern is, can a supplier legally offer a lesser warranty period than the manufacturer provides?
  4. Well, I've been on the phone today to Virgin Mobile and they've told me that it states in their 'terms and conditions' their guarantee on mobile phones is only 12 months yet Samsung's website states 24 months. Can they do this? I'm comparing this to if I walked into Argos/Comet/Curry's etc. tomorrow and bought a TV and the sales guy tells me, "Yeah the manufacturers warranty is 12 months but beacuse you bought if from us it's only going to be for 6"? This can't be right surely? TC
  5. Well, from the link that jacktheband posted it states that accessories included with the phone are 12 months but the handset itself is 24 months! Will get on to VM on Monday!
  6. Just googled my fault issue and found nowt... Guess I will have to take this one on the chin.
  7. It's a Samsung S7350 Unable to post a link to it due to low post count....
  8. Ah! Well, I KNOW it's not moisture because the model has one of those 'moisture indicators' that turns red on the battery and it's still white. The fault is with the switch mechanism that turns the screen on when slid open that has failed. Other than that there's barely a mark on it! Looks like I am chasing a lost cause here then if a mobile contract is merely for the sim card and not the phone it'self
  9. Dear Caggers, Would welcome you thoughts on the following: My Mrs has an 18 month contract with virgin mobile and the handset has packed up after 15 months. I called them yesterday and their stance is, the phone is only guaranteed for 12 months??! Can this be right? They let you sign up for 18 months worth of service with equipment only 'guaranteed' for 12? I welcome your comments/suggestions! TC
  10. Right! Got it sorted now! lol Was having a blonde day yesterday! TC Moorcroft 160910_0001.pdf
  11. Right! Got it sorted now! lol So, I got the attached reply from Moorcroft yesterday, So do I just sit tight and wait to see what happens? Also, there seems to be a veiled threat in there: 'Prior to any possible court action'??? Many thanks, TC
  12. Thank you all for your invaluable help... I will be sending (recorded delivery obviously) tomorrow: A default notice of the CCA request, acknowledging their letters of 28/8 (from their pre-court division after canceling the DD for £25 a month) & of the 06/09 (from the home collections division requesting payment of the aforementioned £25 AFTER the formal request for the CCA was signed for). Will keep you posted...
  13. Update: Received a letter today, no acknowledgment of the CCA request but stating I have now been passed to their 'Home Collections Dept' for defaulting on the payment plan of £25 per Month...
  14. Many thanks cerberusalert! Will fire that off on Monday if I hear nothing this week. (Signed for on 21/08 so I make it Friday 10th is 12 working days +2).
  15. Many thanks cerberusalert. Well, they sign for my CCA agreement request on the 21st August (a Saturday!) so give them till the end of this week? I make it 14 working days this Friday (10th).
  16. I seem to be going round and round in circles trying to access the template letters/forms. Whenever I click on one of your links or even navigate to the library page it keeps telling me I need to login to access but when I do it tells me I am already logged in....!? Is it just me experiencing this?
  17. Can no-one help with the 'remove implied right of access letter'?
  18. Just been doing a bit more googling and some say the statutory reply time for this request is 40 days? Also could someone reply to this thread with the 'remove implied right of access letter'? Having trouble accessing it.... Many thanks.
  19. Well, Moorcroft signed for the letter you drafted for me on the 21/08 and no reply as yet, just a letter I received today saying I was £25 in arrears of the agreement I set up and threatening to 'recommend to our clients that solicitors commence legal proceedings against me without further notice' unless payments is received by return post. Ho hum...
  20. Crikey! I love the sound of that! Could you explain in laymans terms what I'm asking for?
  21. An unsecured personal loan from LloydsTSB originaly taken out in July 2003
  22. Ok, done. Guess I need to write to them and get details to set up a standing order then? TIA
  23. Dear Forum, I'm after a bit of advice in advance if you can help? To cut a long a long story very short I have an outstanding debt with LloydsTSB for £5600 I negotiated with LloydsTSB to pay £75 a month (should have been £246, this went on for a couple of years) but now they have passed me to these lot! After getting what sounds like the standard letter from the 'Pre Court Division' I went to the CAB website and filled out the budgeting forms. It calculated I could afford just £25 per month which I would be happy to set up a direct debit to pay on the 23rd of the month when I get my salary, (result)! I sent this off together with the CAB offer letter template (recorded delivery). This has since been delivered and signed for by someone with the surname Moorcroft, (family company)? Now bear in mind I sent this off on the Friday, after getting their letter on the Thursday and got a call at 8:30am on the Monday. The person on the phone didn’t know about the letter and was phoning on the off chance I presume. So I explained what was contained in the letter. After first asking for my card details for full payment there and then (lol) they accepted my offer of £25 per month if I could make the first payment today, no problem. I gave them my card details, £25 was taken from my account, they set up the direct debit and said they would review it in 2 to 3 months time. I have since received a letter from them setting out my repayment plan that stretches till 2029. Now I don’t want to seem blasé about this, I know 19 years is a long time to pay off a debt but I am quite happy to pay £25 a month for as long as it takes... So my question is how do I deal with the inevitable phone call(s) that will come a couple of months from now? How do I best phrase that I WILL NOT increase my payments for as long as the debt lasts? Any advice would be most helpful! Many thanks, TC
