  1. Hi Jonni Thanks for the advice, I appreciate you taking the time to help. I did send the Prelim letter and letter before action, but all I received was the offer of £40. Have just sent my final letter to say £40 is totally unacceptable and I shall commence legal proceedings (although afraid like others, I will have to wait for pay day to do that). Will come back and post how it is going. You guys have helped so many people like myself who just wouldn't have known where to start on all this, and it really is appreciated. I think I was trying to run before I could walk, but have read and read and read........ and hopefully has finally sunk in. Cheers Bobby
  2. Thanks for your reply. I'll send the DPA to Nationwide and take it from there. Have read through the FAQs on the site, but agree I probably need to read them again, to let it sink it. Thanks again for taking the time to help. Bobby
  3. Apologies if this sounds a bit stupid, but I just want to make sure I am 100 percent clear on everything before going ahead with my claims (yes, unfortunately will have 4). In the case of Nationwide, I didn't have to send DPA because I had all my statements so am I right in thinking, just letter before action and then if no joy a moneyclaim. With Capitol One, again they were quite good and sent me my statements after a phone call, so then I sent them the LBA, no joy - £40 refund but no chance of the rest, so I am now at moneyclaim stage? Is there a time limit on this? Lastly, in the case of GE Capitol and TSB, am going nowhere, and received no statements - do I guess the amount? Sorry if there are a lot of questions but I'm just getting the hang of this and don't want to do the wrong thing. Help would be much appreciated.
  4. Fivelaws, Thanks for that. Appreciated. Now I can get down to business. Bobby
  5. Thanks mate That has helped me make my mind up - Nationwide have taken just under £2000 in charges off me over the past 6 years and it would be nice to get it back! Will start my first letter (and obviously with the way Nationwide are closing accounts, open a new account somewhere). Thanks again for the help Bobby
  6. Hi everyone Have been reading this site for a long time but this is the first time I have posted. Like eveyone else have gone through the letter stages with Cap One and no joy (£40 refund - nowhere near the £570 they owe). Have now decided no choice but to make a moneyclaim - problem is, where do I find it? Any help and advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Bobby
  7. Hi everyone Like everyone else, I really want to get my fees back from Nationwide (quite a large sum), but I am worried because I have my mortgage through them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Bobby:confused:
