  1. @dx100uk Do I still have a leg to stand on with Barclaycard with the fact that they made verbal promises, then were not contactable for me to use the cooling off period (which as far as I'm aware is a legal requirement) I tried to cancel immediately and contacted Barclaycard within 2 hours of leaving the building, whilst the payment was still pending.
  2. Yes. Have you reported to action fraud? I have but they need enough people to log a report for them to investigate further. If we can get enough people together then we can seek legal advice.
  3. The letter is dated 22nd May. Their argument is that the ga11ery have worded their contracts to ensure the 'service' they provide fits the contract. The distraction techniques used by these people aren't taken into account. They're very careful to only promise things verbally, then they will draw your attention to certain parts of the contract while you're trying to read your way through it, and also rush you by informing you they have to speak to the other people there to 'let them down' It baffles me that there's no comeback. So many people scammed and nothing they can do. Screenshot_20200530_110324.pdf
  4. Because their contract didn't mention the verbal agreement they made (in front of my children) I also provided them with correspondence stating I did not want to buy a portfolio. Is there any action that can be taken against them? They've scammed SO many people...
  5. I've read numerous threads about these people scamming thousands out of people and getting away with it!. I had the same, extorted £5000 out of me by promising my children a modelling contract with H&M worth £3250 each. Once they have your money, it's impossible to get hold of them. I've tried to claim back via Barclaycard, but no luck. How are they getting away with this? Is there no way they can be held accountable?
  6. I had the same, but £5000, I've tried to claim back via Barclaycard, but no luck. How are they getting away with this? Is there now way they can be held accountable? I'm a single parent and £5000 is half of my annual salary
  7. They have done the same to me as well. How can we hold them accountable. Can we all group together!! Has everybody reported them?
  8. Hi all. I took out a loan in 2005 for £23,700 and have been looking into whether or not the credit agreement is enforceable... The agreement seems to include everything it should, except the total amount repayable- is this meant to be on there? It has the amount borrowed, how much the monthly repayments will be, and how many repayments there will be. It also states the correct APR. I probably don't have a leg to stand on but thought it might be worth a try. The other thing I was wondering is what the likelyhood is of being successful with cases such as these, I've been reading about a few high profile cases in which the lender won? Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
