a new store has opened at the same place that used to be leather lords. its called yes the sofa specialists. apparently it is being run by garry lords nephew and garry lord turns up most nights at closing time in his nice shiny new hummer. they have been turned down by all the finance companies for credit so will only take full payment so be very wary..... they also have all the same stock that they cleared out earlier this year

i have spoke to watchdog and they are breaking the law by taking any money from you. they are equally liable in paying back a full refund. that includes deposits, providing you have proof of what you paid.

i think your being a bit unfair on jipcus. he didnt have to come on here and offer any information. if you keep accusing him of being part of it, do you really expect he will tell you anything. hes already said that any info he can give, he will.

latest update on mine is, i ordered the suite around the 20th january and was told 12 - 14 weeks for delivery with payment deffered for 12 months. i got fobbed off with one excuse after another, problem with the manufacturer, delayed at the docks etc.. and finally got a phone call off dave to say it would be delivered on monday just gone. they were alredy closed down i believe when he phoned me. i have just contacted the finance company to find out how i stand in cancelling and they told me that leather lords phoned them on 2nd FEBRUARY to say i had recieved my sofa! thats 13 days from the date of order to delivery! they told me not to worry as they are aware of the situation and will be contacting me tomorrow to say that it has been cancelled and im not liable for any payments

yes, where is my settee? have they cleared the shop out? do you have a set of keys? are they re-opening?

i checked there details at companies house today and els ltd is still showing as an active company. i was surprised to notice that leather lords is still also active evn though they were "taken over" by els months ago. sounds a bit fishy to me. if anyone has any info regarding the company, staff names etc.. i would be very interested in gathering as much info on them before i talk to trading standards

its now 9 months since i ordered my sofa. i was told it was being delivered to there warehouse today and once it was checked the manager was going to phone me before 5 to confirm a delivery date. he obviously hasnt phoned so i have been trying to call since 4 o clock and it is just ringing. i will keep you posted if anything new happens

hi, i placed an order for a corner suite and was told 10 - 12 weeks delivery. i paid 250 deposit and have told them i will not pay another penny until my suite arrives. i have been told numerous excuses, boat delayed, stuck at the docks, it will be with you in 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks etc... i have now been waiting over 8 months and still not recieved my suite. last time i spoke i was assured it was waiting to be shipped up from the docks and i would 100% deffinitely recieve it by this friday and the manager would be phoning to confirm delivery on monday 9th august. obviously he didnt phone so i phoned them and was told the manager was out and it was held up at the docks. it will be with you in another 2 weeks. that will be in to the ninth month
