Most of these things should be covered by a decent buildings and contents policy anyway. The contract sounds like it makes no sense so probably is a [problem], has she got the TV back yet? -
Always nice to see HSBC payout, they are one of the worst for over-charging!

I think the FSA is to be broken up by 2012 but I'm not sure about the FOS, I've haven't seen anything suggesting it will be changed. It would be interesting to know what they plan to do.
