  1. thanks - ive been to the police but they are saying contact the bank as the bank has its own fraud team!!! so they have sent me away!!!!
  2. Hi guys , hope some one can help me - recently been a victim of email theft and money fraud. Basically sent some funds over to china for some goods. I was dealing with a company who i agreed to purchase some goods of, and sent the 30% deposit money thru, which they acknowledged, then after the goods were complete and pending shipment i had to pay the balance of 70%. The method of payment i used was through a financial boutique, who sent the money over using RBS. During the process of communication with the supplier some one got hold of the emails and asked to send the funds to a different bank account, as the original account was going thru some auditing,.so i stupidly sent the money through , i realised this the next day after checking the emails from the supplier, so immediatley i asked the bank to recall the monies, within 24hrs - can anyone please let me know what the procedure is to get my money back please. The funds are sitting in the fraudster account and i need to recall them funds. The bank says the instructions that i gave them were of a genuine account and that its up to the recipient to instruct the chinese bank to send the monies back - so i am stuck basically .
  3. I sent a SAR to YBank , but they have replied saying that my accounts have been closed for over 6 years and that they do no hold any records etc, any suggestions please?
  4. any suggestions please??? yokrhsire bank are saying they dont hold any of my records as the account is over 6 years old!!! - they made a fortune by charging me 2-3000 per year in bank charges during era of mid 90,s 1992 - 1998 to be exact- i used to have a business account with them at that time, so any help./sugestions welcome from any one please..
  5. I am thinking of writing a reply letter to HSBC relating to the above comments which they stated in the letter - just to create some sort of trail or correspondance history regarding the case , which more than likely may end up in court - and i could use it as evidence. care to check it out and advise please? every one wlecome to comment - with any advise or altertations "I am in receipt of your letter dated 5th July 2010 in response to my personal information request. You also stated in your letter that the policy was not a payment proctection insurance, and was some sort of- dereasing term assurance with critical illness plicy! - if that is the case then why was it made compulsory for me to sign up for it, even though i hesitated when one of your employee come round to visit me. Members of your organisation made it clear to me that this was a condition that had to be met for the loan!!!!!. After it was in place i had many times thought about cancelling it, as i often struggled to pay for it, But i could not, as it was made clear to me that this was the condition that had to be met for the loan, hence i did not cancel it . So now that i have come to acknowledge that all this process of mis-selling me the policy was against the law, i will be looking to claim all the payments back from your organisation, inc interest and the fee which i was charged for arranging this policy Yours faithfully,"
  6. ive sent an email to ICO see what reply i get - but meanwhile drafted a letter to send to YB - would you please be kind enough to check it out and see if i need to alter in any way please - "I am in receipt of your letter dated 6th July 2010 in response to my Data Protection Act information request dated (16th june 2010). You have failed to comply with my request, by simply stating that my accounts have been closed for more than six year period. I am sorry but this just isnt good enough.\ I have a legal right to obtain all my data held by your organisation, regarding my financial dealing/accounts held by Yorkshire Bank. This is not an exhaustive request by any means, as all financial institutes hold data of customers for more than a six year period. Accordingly, I have to tell you that you have not yet complied with your obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. You have a further seven days to comply, before i take my case to the Information Commissioners Office & make official complain to Finanacial Ombudsman Service Yours faithfully, "
  7. youve hit the nail on the head mate, i will wait for them to come back to me then take it further
