Well I went back to the bank and asked again.. They gave me the new leaflet again so i asked her to show me where exactly does it say charges for ISAs on the leaflet. She read it for a few minutes then when to ask someone higher up. Eventually she came back and said i was right ..very sorry etc.. shouldn't have happend.. Still stunned that the counter staff didn't know it only applied to some accounts.

I was charged £10 for a £500 cheque drawn from my cash ISA today. They gave me a leaflet explaining the charges P1040 but all it says under "who's affected" is -All flexAccount holders and cash card account customers -Cash builder account holders who ask for a counter draft less then £1000 made out to someone else. Nowhere does it say cash ISAs or instant access ISAs Are they allowed to do this? I wonder who else has been caught out by this.
