  1. It was a credit card debt with HFC Bank from years ago and as far as I am aware it is on my credit file.
  2. Hi I hope somebody can help me out there. I have a credit card debt which was sold to Marlin Financial some time ago which I have been paying back at £20 a month as that is all I can afford. This has been going on for a long time with no problems. However, Marlin started writing and calling with regards to not agreeing a repayment plan with them in the last couple of months. I wrote to them saying that I could not afford any further amount at this time. I kept on getting phonecalls/letters but ignored them as their automated system chases you even when you have paid them. I have not had any letter saying that I have defaulted on any payments as all my payments are up to date as far as I can see. I have now received a letter from Shoosmiths Solicitors threatening me with a CCJ and charging order if I do not agree a repayment plan. Are they allowed to do this as I have been paying Marlin £20 a month for a considerable time and am currently upto date and also what happens if I cannot agree with the solicitors a payment plan as reading around, they tend to demand the full amount or court. I would not mind if I had defaulted on my payments or were behind but I have checked my bank statements over and over and cannot find anywhere that would suggest anything but me being upto date with my payments. Any help gratefully received as to what I should do next. Thanks
