Hi, Experian have record of an old HFC account i had that is now settled. However I belife the default date to be wrong. I have set them the standard accses request (data protection) from the libary on 05/09/2006. On 14/09/2006 i recived a reply stating that they are happy to supply a statment of account free of charge and they returned my cheque. my problem is that they have not included the original agreement as requested and or details of charges. What I have is a screen print of dates and figures which I have no dought mean something to the accounts dept of HFC but sod all to me. I phoned HFC to complain as spoke the the lady who replied to my letter. she told me that they have had loads of letters from people "who have been using some web site to get there late charges back". She stated that she would send me a questionaire and if i return the cheque the information will be forthcomeing. No suprise to note that I have not heard from them... So, my question is what do I do next ?? If im honest I have to say that my reason for doing this is to find some way of having this account removed from my credit file soo all sugestions recived with thanks.. Andy

Hi all, I am sure i have read someting on here about how to have eneries on your credit file removed ( i now cant find it or was i dreaming) ??? I have a few old and settled accounts showing that i would like to make dissapear. Am I right in thinking that if i send a DPA letter and they cannot provide the information I can go to court and have them set aside ??? I also have a search from some dodggy loan company that i did not give permission for so do I deal with this the same way ?? Andy
