  1. Bookworm: you dont happen to live in Bristol do you? Because it would be ideal if you did as you seem very knowledgeable about the topic and SOGA.
  2. hi, Ok, so if I say that I dont want to be inconvenienced by the taking away of my laptop then they should offer me a replacement/loan laptop. It does not matter that it has been longer than 28days? and do I just say that it is their problem and not Dells as it hasnt been 6months yet? is this all correct? I want to be clued up so I dont get mugged off by some PC World know-it-all. Josh
  3. Hi guys, Not sure if this is the right section as its my first post so i apologise. Basically my girlfriend bought her laptop from PC world 6 weeks ago and it has been playing up since. Took it in there today and the bloke behind the counter said that because it was out of the 28days, she would have to contact dell who would fix it. The reason she bought it was because its dissertation time at uni and her old one broke, therefore losing this one whilst dell fix it is not suitable.Where do we stand for a straight exchange from PC World? The man said it was overheating therefore needed some sort of motherboard swap or something. I have searched some of the posts, but many seem very jargonny and hard to understand. Basically what i want to know is, am i legally entitled to go in the shop and ask for a swap there and then, or can they say 'no, we will fix it'??? thanks, any help much appreciated:-D josh
