I feel the need to voice my concerns about the availability of cars on the Motorbility scheme. How is it that people with disabilities are treated differently to able-bodied people on this scheme. I understand that these vehicles are paid for from their allowance so why are these leasing type terms not available to all and that working people have to sign high interest hire purchase or lease schemes. This strikes me as discrimination and should the shoe be on the other foot there would be a massive public outcry. Please don't misunderstand me I am not saying disabled people should not have this scheme, what I am saying is the scheme should be available to all and that I for one would like to be able to pay at lot less than I currently do for the privilege of a new car, insurance & maintenance.
