  1. Hi, been away for a few weeks so just doing some catching up, great to see you guys are getting somewhere. I have hit a brick wall, I received standard letters fobbing me off from BPF, I have now cancelled my DD payments to them and will be writting to the OFT and FOS on Sunday when I have time to sit down.
  2. I wish this helped with my case... I have been following you guys and glad you're getting somewhere close to closure. I suspect I will have to get independant legal advice as I am in a different boat to you guys. All the best though
  3. Also, another little piece of information to share. It just so happened I was sat talking to a gentleman whom worked for Computeach as a 'tutor' When the Computeach salesman came to my home, I was told that the tutors were all in house staff and they are dedicated to you etc etc. The truth of it is that the 'tutors' actually work from their own home, Computeach forward your 'course query' to the 'tutor' and he/she deals with it all from their own office at home. They are not dedicated, they get paid on how many hours they put in dealing with these complaints etc. Self Employed too. Sound very similar to how the salesman work/earn I think... Also I am not sure of the author, but have a look at this, http://hubpages.com/hub/BarclayParterFinance
  4. I posted to; Barclays Career Development Loans P.O Box No. 228 Liverpool L69 7RU
  5. I very much doubt that they payed the whole lot upfront! Normally would be in installments/after course completes
  6. If you go here http://consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/581-cca-request-letter and use the Consumer Credit Agreement Request template, send that to the people who OWN the debt, so BPF if you used them or whoever was the loan provider.
  7. What sort of money would I be looking at for legal advice/defence in court or in general? Are we talking hundreds or thousands of pounds? Would it be advisable for me to book an hour with a solicitor to see what they think as to wether I have any case or not?
  8. Good luck with that. Let me know if they accept your request to cancel because I want some tips!
  9. I have downloaded the complaints form from the FOS website our complaints procedure and how to complain Scroll half way down and the links to download, fill out and print off are there. Quick question, if a company's credit licence has expired are they still legally allowed to recover a debt that was started when the company did have a licence?
  10. I would appreciate this also. Today I have sent a CCA request letter to both Marehill Finance and BPF requesting a copy of my credit agreement. In the hope that maybe they won't be able to provide it and I get a quick exit out of this mess. Once they have provided the documents requested, I am then going to send a letter to the FOS, and OFT, and also my local MP who may wish to side with myself against these jokers. Also I sent a dispute letter to BPF around 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing from them? Not even a letter to confirm they have logged my complaint? Is this anything I could use against them?
  11. Thanks BlueDo, for an experiment I have just printed and preparing to send a CCA letter of request to both Marehill Finance and BPF. On the assumption that if Marehill Finance no longer exist they will struggle to provide me with the information = I can cancel the direct debit and then just have BPF to deal with. I would rather bang my head against a wall than write to those sharks at CT as they are not sympathetic to individual needs nor willing to help.
  12. So I am to write to trading standards and consumer direct and cease any payments asap? await to hear from them and then take it from there? One point to make is that I havent actually contacted CT recently requesting a refund as I have seen it as pointless and chose to contact BPF first. Computeach are part of ALOT of 'industry' governing bodies, of which I find probable that they are all in on the [problem]?
