  5. Tim surely if that is the case then the 28 days have elapsed and you should have heard one way or the other? Or am i wrong in thinking this? I see from your thread that you were offered 50% and rejected it, is this why your still waiting?
  6. Apologies i thot your 14 days had passed since sending your LBA. I too would wait for the 14 days to elapse.
  7. I would hold off until you find out if they recieved LBA an if they did immediately start your court proceedings either via MCOL or posting N1 form to local SCC don't know what to suggest if they haven't recieved it other than to send it again.
  8. Thanks for the reply debt, but sorry i got to excited and have posted my N1 form to Newbury CC. I'm off work on the sick just now so don't care where i would have to travel to in order to get my money back. Used Newbury as it was closest to Nationwide HQ Thanks again tho an i'll keep you all posted.
  9. Well done Debt, Power to the people. I am following suit and issuing my claim against nationwide from Newbury CC. Posting N1 letter today.I'm also resident in Scotland. Did you encounter many major problems and was it Newbury CC you filed your N1 form with?
  10. Hi ntom, did you send letters recorded delivery?
  11. Well guys thats it N1 form and chq for court fees in the post, recorded delivery, to Newbury CC. Claiming a total of £3009.86 so fingers crossed. Thanks to everyone for their help and support. Prelim Letter Sent 03/10/06 "Get Lost" Rec 11/10/06 LBA Sent 17/10/06 "Still get lost" Rec 26/10/06 N1 form sent 01/11/06
  12. Hi dollies01, Thats certainly the way i did it provided thirty days have elapsed from the date they appeared in your charges section as that is when they are applied to your account and then appear as fees paid in the main body of your statement! Its a much quicker way of doing it rather than sifting through every page an you can bet your last penny if its contained in your charges section then they will take it from you on the thirty day mark Let me know if this helps.
  13. Another quick question folks sorry, Can anyone provide the address of the county court nearest to Nationwides Head office in Swindon please?
  14. Thanks again Michael. I'm more than prepared to do that. Thanks.
  15. You're a star Michael Thank you.
  16. Hey Dundeetim, Micheal Browne pointed out your thread to me and it looks like its going to help immensely as i live in Scotland and wish to make Claim against Nationwide for considerably more than Scottish SCC allow. How much did you claim for and how is your claim going?
  17. Thanks Kate, went to claim money on line and discovered that you have to have english address. Unfortunately I live in Sunny(not) Scotland and will have to do a bit more work and make two individual claims of1.5k thro the summary courts....Hey Ho but i'm now on track an all set to Claim It All Back... Congrats on your recent success.
  18. Hi all have been reading threads all day and on several forums and need to know if when claiming against the Nationwide does Scottish or English Law apply or is it simply based on where the account is held or where the claimant resides? Having headaches here trying to find out.
  19. Thanks dollies, Have been reading throught the forum and the FAQ's for a few days now and i'm pretty sure i know what to claim back. Was given some bad advice from a colleague who said it that only charges exceeding the original direct debit could be claimed back. Was then getting depressed reading bout Coumpound interest etc so I'm happy just claiming back the charges and simple interest as explained in the spreadsheets. Thanks for your help an i'll keep the site posted with my result. Thanks again.
  20. Thanks fuzzgun, Not feeling confident at all just now as i'm about to send MCOL and think I've shot myself in the foot by not requesting payment for everything back!! Can anyone tell me if i can change my request at this stage or is it best to start again and send another LBA with schedule of charges requesting all charges back? Really need some answers as this thing is keeping me awake far too much. Thanks!
  21. Hi all, Forget the above as i have worked out how to do it. But as with everything i do, i've now come across a new problem. On checking for this i came across what i was entitled to claim for....I have only requested refund of DD charges which have exceeded the cost of the original DD for example if my DD was for £25.00 and they charged me £30 for having insufficient funds........Am i now right in thinking that i can claim for any Returned DD charge... Am really panicking as this amounts too much more than i requested in my schedule of charges and now think i may have to start all over again........Please help anyone.
  22. Hi Cia35, its 40 days from when they recieved the letter and the letter doesn't state that its forty working days and should therefor be taken by them as forty days. This is more than sufficient time for them to get the information to you.
  23. How on earth do i make a claim on-line??? Can anyone help as i would like to send it asap. Have done everything else, prelim letter LBA schedule of charges etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i feel really stupid not having been able to do it myself. Thanks.
  24. Hi Fuzzgun19, quick question, did you do money claim solely online or did you have to fill out N1 form for small claims court as well?
