this is a complaint and warning to others thinking of using Hermes Courier service. I had a coffee machine delivered which internally had the mechanism snapped and door hinge broken. It was packaged well and had 'fragile' written all over it. The coffee machine must have taken a bit hit for this to happen. I thought my £100 hermes insurance had covered this but learned after submitting a claim that in fact they only cover for loss, not damage. My full complaint and consequent investigation online into others experiences is here and doesn't read well for Hermes as a business. I will be sending this to relevant authorities too.
