long story short... if you read in my other post back in 2010 you will see that i was issued a fine by London Magistrate court where i plead guilty for travelling without a VALID ticket ( used someone else freedom pass ) i could have argued and won the case in the court according a lawyer but i really didn't bother because i was told at that time that this sort of criminal record stays maximum 1- 2 years but now i read in forum that Criminal record for any fines by court stays in the database for 5 years and i have to declare it all the time The problem is If i apply for PR RESIDENT will this effect my application? ( EUROPEAN ROUTES ) I heard Home office automatically refused all application with criminal record. I am really worried. That's the only bad record i've in file. Since then i never ever travelled without any valid ticket

I live in a shared property ( 7 bedroom house) Two couple with children and myself We are paying the rent to the landlord. what i can do about electricity issues. GAS & ELCTRICITY included in rent but because landlord owe £3,000 to N-Power they switched the electricity to PAY AS YOU GO meter. now since last week every morning at 8-10am the electricity goes off and come back at 6pm i believe he switch of the electrify from mains. The main switch is outside can we complain to anyone about this when we complained to him he said is nothing to do with him

I live in big house and share with the Landlord ( actually landlord doesn't stay there often but yes he have a room where he stay when he come 3/4 times in a week for 30 minutes ) The landlord is a cheater, he cheated many people out of rent ( 10/15 people ) he used gumtree.com to advertise his flats ( it's a 10 bedrooms house ) and out of it 4 of them empty people come to the house, view the property and when they liked it he take deposit for a month and then never give them keys. he did this with 10/15 people. it's a theft, The people who owed him money keep coming and knocking the door. They been to police and CAB but they don't help Now i want to move out of the property because of all the problems ( he owed £ 3,000 to for electricity so it switched to pay as you go , didn't have licence for Multiple occupancy so council looking for him ) he is really rude and aggressive, we only see him when he need rent i gave him 6 weeks deposit and 1 months advance rent i know i will never get my deposit back if i move out and wait for it. He never paid deposit to anyone who left ( lots of excuse ) and also large number of people owed him money who never lived there a current tenant want to move out. When that tenant said to him don't want his deposit back rather he will not pay him 6 weeks after he give him notice to leave he said he will go to court. I have witness from peoples who knows what type of person he is. i will also do same . do you think he can go to court. I know a good landlord have right but our landlord is not

the laptop have 30 days warranty only. I send that receipt via email to the buyer ( he asked for it ) the buyer said warranty mean laptop can be returned if not happy ( wife doesn't want and paid too much ) let say you went to Harrods and purchsed Sony TV then realized Currys selling same model for £100 less. Can you complain to Harrods that i am returning because your price is high? That's buyer point that a buyer has every right to return if he/she find later price what he/she paid is more then market price. this is used, unboxed item ( new price over £1,400 and he paid £650 )

I recently sold a Macbook pro to a buyer. I advertised in Gumtree.com and buyer came to my house and tested it. he said he really like the laptop and paid me £650 in cash. the laptop was fully as described. after 1 days the buyer called me and said his wife doesn't like it and he believe the price was too high for him so he want to return. he is telling me all those laws and regulation that he have enery right to return and get full money back even though item is item is fully working, as described and he collected and paid in cash. what can i do? can i refuse? can he complain to trading standard? can he sue me? I am a private seller.

UPDATE: I received a letter from court to attend summon yesterday 9:30am but only received the letter at 11:00am by post. It was delayed. It's send by 1st class but received it after many days. don't know why. in the summon letter it says if i plead guilty will be asked to pay £120 + £3.50 what will happen now. Will the court add extra fine because i didn't attend. But it's not fault. I only received the letter yesterday. How can i prove them? what should i do now. PLEASE HELP ME

I received an email from TFL i am in Danger now. I really don't want to go court. But they don't agree out of court settlement. How can i make my case stronger? this is the reply from them "hank you for your email of the 14th June 2010 regarding the incident which took place at a London Underground station, where you were questioned by a Revenue Inspector about your ticket and method of travel. I am unable to withdraw this case as requested and enter into an out of court settlement as this matter relates to the misuse non transferable Freedom Pass and is in accordance with our prosecution policy. London Underground will only withdraw prosecution cases in exceptional circumstances and your email regarding this matter does not meet this criteria."

i wrote 2 pages letter to the manager. I said i'm sorry. It was a genuine mistake. I'm just a student and part time worker so don't have enough money to pay the court fees and at the same time i don't want to have a bad record . and i requested them solve the matter out of court. i don't mind paying fines by borrowing from family but still don't want to go court.

UPDATE: I was send a letter from Prosecution Manager three weeks ago but got it today. this is what written there:: " On 08/03/2010 an incident took place canning town station whereby you were spoken to by a member of London Underground staff regarding your train journey and the associated fare. The fact of this incident are now being considered and i must advise you that legal proceeciding may be initiated against you regarding this matter in accordance with LU prosecution policy. If you have any comment to make regarding this incident please write them on the reverse side of this letter and return the whole letter within 10 days" well it's almost three weeks now. What will i do? I received the letter today

By the still waiting for letter from them. i was reading it in a newspaper that someone received letter after one year. Now i moved to different address.

How can i write to them? I don't have any reference number or letter from them yet it happened yesterday

when the revenue inspector asked for proof of address i looked everywhere and found driving license which i gave to him. But in 3 days time i moving to a new house with my GF. Is this a problem...?

I was traveling in a Bus there i found a Oyster Card belong to someone i don't know. That was 3 days ago. I kept it in my pocket thinking to give it back to TFL but forgot. today by mistake i touched that FREEDOM PASS when entering the underground station. ( my oyster was with me ) Soon Revenue inspector caught me. He ask loads of question. confisticated my Own Oyster card and Freedom Pass he then ask my address and proof of my name I gave him everything he asked for. I told him already that's was a honest mistake and i know it's not allowed to use. He told me that they will take me to court. I am really scared i never been to court or jail Will they take me to Jail? I'm student and work part time. I know they will write me soon.
