  1. OK thanks. How should this be approached? I am not assuming my debts will be written off- how should this be managed? I am currently managing my own DMP and pay my creditors regularly. I was advised to send CCA request to each so am following what most people are doing on this site. Any advise welcome.
  2. I am not disappointed, but maybe I am being misinformed by some of the posts that are written on this forum. I have gone down the CCA request with all of my creditors, and various posts advise that unless you receive this information then he debt is not enforceable and you can refuse to keep up with your monthly repayments and that they cannot pursue any legal action. Forgive me but this seems too simple by just simply telling them you will not pay them anymore?
  3. Hi, Can anyone advise me of what letter to send as I have not had any of my CCA requests within the 12+ 2 days. Does this mean I can now withhold payment? What are the next steps? Any advice welcome. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the advice. I am not trying to avoid my debt as I have been paying it successfully for 4 years. I came onto this site and was advised to get CCA request in order to determine whether my agreements are enforceable. Surely this is debt avoidance? I am happy to pay all of my debts but assuming what posts I read on this site, it seems that many people have been able to successfully write off some of their debts.
  5. Hi all, Following a CCA request to all of my creditors, I have received my first reply (as attached). They have sent me a letter and attached with a signed consumer credit agreement, along with other info such as statements etc. I used to have my DMP with CCCS but am now managin my own, so I want to try and get rid of as many as possible.... Is this agreement enforceable and do I have to start paying this debt back again? I have only missed one payment anyway. Any help appreciated! Col xx MINT.pdf
  6. Some advise please. I have updatde my credit file today and there is a default notice n it for £200 against Orange...never even knew I had it I thought I had settled my account. First of all why are thee guys reporting a default and what letter can I send them to get this off my credit file?? Thanks
  7. Thanks veryweary! I have alrady emailed CCCS telling them of my disgust to close my agreement without any notice! I have also asked them for all of the details in order to pay my creditors for this month. I will make a start to this and have a read through other posts and let you know how I get on. Thanks again xxxx
  8. I have just joined this site after finding out that I have just been dumped by CCCS without any notice. I never missed any payments and I regularly update my budget. I began with them a few years back (2006) and recently discovered I had a debt that had not been included. They threatend to end my DMP but I said I did not know about it, so they asked me to send the creditor a letter asking for my credit agreement. I never heard back from the creditor and informed CCCS of this, but I assume due to this they have cancelled my agreement. I need help!!! I have no details of my creditors as CCCS held all of this info- a lot of my debts are very old (5 years plus) and I keep reading about CCA request. Please can someone advise me what this is and whether or not I can do this and then potentially manage my own debt plan? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!
