  1. I sent the letter a £10 requesting list of charges,I had a reply and my tenner back on 16th june, so how long does it take for my list to come through?
  2. i have a capitol one credit card with only a limit of £200 on it.But as its of higher interest due to it being a card for those with bad credit can I still sting them for the masses of charges I have incurred overthe years. These are usually late payment charges of £20 a time, even when I had a direct debit set up for the minimum payment every month. Am currently awaiting list of charges from barclays and would like to do capitol one next once I kinda know what Im doing Many thanks all
  3. If its not grossly important I will not pursue that part and await my list of charges and continue from there, am a little nervous about all this so dont want to bog my self down in more bank jargo than I require. MAny thanks
  4. I used the letter from the library also, and sent £10 which was (obiviously sent back with the letter) Ive no idea if this is a standard letter or slight change to the normal reply of request of charges.Am excitedly awaiting a moderator reply to enlighten me.
  5. ive just received the EXACT same letter back this morning and put it on another thread asking what its all about lol, good luck
  6. Hi everyone, can anyone offer some advice on my reply letter. I asked for copy of charges on 12th june, sent my £10 and got this, this morning,16th june. Will give give snippets just to keep brief. I had my £10 back letter says "bank not under an obligation to present information according to any particular format" "request to assemble a schedule of charges is turned aside" BUT "as the bank is providing the copy statements on a complimentary basis your payment is returned herewith" And this is the whole last paragraph on the manual intervention so bear with me "As regards to your mention of "manual intervention", the DPA does not oblige the bank to comment about internal policiies and procedures. Furthermore, in the context of managing day to day transactions arising from out of order accounts, the bank does not hold the information you have requested in a form that would be covered by theDPA. Whilst aggregated information is retained for statistical purposes, this would not constitute "personal data" under the DPA and therfore would not be covered by a s.7 DPA subject access request. For the avoidance of doubt, the fact that we do not generally record information in a way that is caught by the provisions of the DPA,is in no way an admisssion that there was no such intervention" can anyone shed some light please Thak you
