  1. Thanks Lee! This has since been sorted last week by a very good Techie at Vodafone...pls close.
  2. I have been a Vodafone customer until November' 2011 and fortunate to have a Sure Signal to deal with my reception problems. Now that I don't use it wanted my friend to use it as he suffers from terrible reception problems!! I have been trying to deregister it for couple of weeks calling up the Customer Services - can't de-register myself as I can't login to account. Don't understand why you Vodafone makes life so difficult for it's subscribers?!! Appreciate if someone can help me De-register S/N - xxxxxxxx. Thanks!
  3. I've got access to Equifax. Table 1 Credit "opt In" type 6 Searches by T-Mobile from 14/11 to 30/11 with 3 of them in one day!Table 2 "Followup Enquiry" 6 Searches as above (3 in one day)! Rating is 510. Payment history FAIR based on one missed payment in June'07.
  4. I've used the comparison sites often and possibly put them in the checkout basket a few times without actually completing the purchase - Never knew that it would be doing Credit Checks in the background
  5. It would cost me £600 in total at the end of the 18 month contract (monthly £30). The advisor has mentioned that she can see multiple credit checks (applications?) although I've applied only once to T-Moblie through an online re-seller. Never had any contract/service problems
  6. I don't have any CCJ or any defaults. I'm on the electoral roll, to be sure were do I check? Equifax has asked me to send in an ID and Address proof before they make my Credit report available!
  7. I'm still waiting for an email contact from Equifax (supposed to be an instant report)! When I called up again and the advisor said that the information filled on line does not match the records on their system?! Can't wait to see my report
  8. I'm absolutely gutted! I don't have any unpaid bills for at least 20yrs, however I've been turned by T-Mobile. I've requested Experian reports last night so I'm waiting, Equifax supposed to be instant have not yet given me a report since I've registered last night saying they need to contact me?! I'm a bit flabbergasted to say the least, turned down by a mobile company...for a paltry £600 over 18 months! Help & suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.
  9. I think it's about time that customers are made aware that ONLY Apple iPhones can view streaming TV on the inept Vodafone network. All other manufacturers (NOKIA) devices have been BLOCKED... Nokia Support Discussions - Do Not Buy Vodafone Contracts with Nokia Phones - Nokia Support Discussions
  10. VF corporate policy should be consistent if it wants to apply a particular rule, when it is unable to do so it should abandon unless such time when it is able to apply it across the networks. The technology is available to filter HTML streams, what is taking it so long to develop 'security controls' on iPhone streams? It is unfair to treat other manufacturer 'Nokia' devices in a step brotherly manner! Now that OFCOM does not require VF to restrict content via streaming (see link above), why is VF still continuing to do so?
  11. If the security team can approve the same streams for iPhone users why can't it be approved for Nokia users? Surely security reasons can't be Manufacturer specific, and if Nokia devices somehow corrupt your networks, you should stop selling their products to us customers!
  12. .- We both are different, I bought into the contract with a specific device to watch streaming TV (I've got 3 other handsets). - N900 is clearly sold as Mobile TV compatible on VF website, if you can take the pains of going over there to see the specs! - I'm willing to pay if I go over the limit and I've already signed a contract to do so - it's my concern! I've definitely not been told that streaming TV will ONLY be available if I subscribe to VF Live. I would have either bought iPhone (special VF relation?) if I wanted to stay on with VF or gone to T Mobile/ Orange/ O2 who don't appear to have ulterior motives!:-x
  13. I would like to cancel contract OR swap phone for iPhone which will enable me to watch streaming TV. At time of purchase N900, EVEN today on VF site is sold as Mobile TV compatible - now that Mobile TV has been blocked, why can't I cancel the contract? It doesn't mention anywhere that I need to subscribe to VF Live to receive TV streaming?!
  14. I am not sure if this has anything to do with data usage as I consume no more than 70-80mb per month. It has to do with VF trying to control the data supplied to their customer base. If VF wants to charge customers for usage of data, why are they blocking ports (BBC TV)? They can ask customer to pay for data downloads when they exceed limits or on abuse warn customers. I've already signed a contract with VF to pay for usage when I took the contract out....VF is acting like a control freak!! No blockage applied if you have an iPhone, which might also translate as APPLE being their most preferred device supplier and Nokia and the rest are second rate suppliers! Or does it mean that APPLE & VF have a pact to eliminate other device suppliers to VF? Customers need to know what the intentions are? Locking out topics on VF eforums is not going to solve the problems...
