  1. I have appeared to get myself into a mess here and really dont know where to turn! Ive got three people who are threatening to take court action against me and I really dont know what to do. I noticed from here you can request documents from creditors etc but need some help. I'll outline my problems below! Revenue Collection Services Debt Collectors: I had a membership to a boxing club. I paid by direct debit but had to stop for personal reasons. When I completed the D/D form I was not told I was entering into a contract I merely thought it was just a D/D mandate. These people are now demanding £491.00 or they will take me to court and instuct baliffs to call. Capital One: Again threats to take me to court unless payment is made. Vanquis: Same as above. Is there any templates I can use to send to these people? any help would be appreciated. Thanks Chris:-(
  2. Thanks for your help with this guys. Two more questions for you though. 1) How far could these people take this ie: county court. What could be the worst outcome? 2) Ive seen people on here write letters etc asking them to prove who the driver was. Should this be done? only I'm getting grief from my partner who says I should pay them!!!!
  3. Hi would appreciate some advice. My wife and i are seperated and whilst together ran up about £10,000 worth of debt. We had several debt management plans paying them a minimum amount for years. One debt went to County court and I received a CCJ 7/8 years ago. The debts date back from 1999 / 2000 and have been passed from DCA to DCA to DCA. Original creditors are: HFC Bank, HSBC Bank, Barclaycard, Natwest Bank etc. Now since our seperation (6 months ago) none of the DCA's have been able to find me, and I cant remember which DCA is dealing with each debt. I was thinking of attempting to offer a Final settlement with them but dont know who's who. What would be the best course of action to take. Wait for them to find me (which im sure they will eventually) or try to make contact with them and offer a final settlement? I dont have any account numbers or anything. Thanks Chris
  4. Hi All, My wife and I seperated 6 months ago, and our electricity at the time was supplied by E-ON. I was the account holder and after the seperation I attemted to remove my name from the account, and put hers on. Thinking this was done, with no problem, they then sent me a bill for £189.00. The account remained the same, the direct debits remained the same the only difference was the name change (mine to hers). Unfortunately I have wrote to these debt collectors and made an offer of payment on a monthly basis. Is there anyway I can avoid paying this? Thanks Chris
  5. Thanks, I dont have a problem ignoring them. Just dont know what to do if the debt collection agency start?
  6. I need some help with these people guys. I received a parking fine from CEL for £150.00 offering a lower fee of £75.00 if I paid within 14 days. If the fine is not paid within 28 days, then it will be passed to a Debt Collection Agency and further costs will be involved. The vehicle in question is registered to our company, where one of three drivers could have been driving it on that particular day. Now the parking area in qustion, requires the driver to call a number and pay for parking with a credit or debit card. Obviously this was not done at the time. The alleged offence is for less than 15 minutes. from: 15:14 to: 15:27. I could understand if they were parked there all day. This does seem quite inappropriate. I haven't contacted CEL yet and have no intention to pay. Is there anything I could do? any advice is greatly appreciated.
