  1. Exactly my thoughts Conniff. Couldn't work out how the clutch would make it jump out of gear. The car was bought in Scotland on 3 year PCP.
  2. We purchased an 3 month old ex demo Fiesta zetec s from Evans Halshaw in April. Since then it's been back and forth to the dealer 5 times as it keeps coming out of gear.we have covered around 3000 miles in the car since purchase. They have had it in again this week, this time for a few days but they now think the clutch/pressure plate is worn. They have said that if this is down to driver error we will be liable for the full £900 replacement parts and labour cost. I have spoken to Evans Halshaw head office and they have said the same. We have covered very little mileage in the car and owned it for less than 5 months so I'm gobsmacked that they could be asking us to pay. I'm considering rejecting the car as the fault has been present since we owned the car. What are my options in this case? Any advice appreciated.
  3. If someone could help with this for my partner it would be appreciated! My partner had a three mobile phone contract going back from 2005, He had no issues until his phone got stolen in early 2006. He called up to cancel to his contract and was charged around £558.16 instantly, a charge which he was not made aware of when he first called. It was not until around a year and a half later where his account was passed to debt collection agency Wescot. Seeing this bill he agreed to pay what he owed in full with the full balance being finally settled back in 2009. The payments to Wescot started off at balance £558.15 at the 17th January 2008. Twelve payments of £40.00 were made up until the 4th December 2008 with a final payment £78.16 made during January of 2009. Wescot had since sent him correspondence that the account had been fully settled. He then starst to get letters saying that the outstanding balance has then been passed onto Red/Lowell for the sum of £78.16. He had made this payment and all account payments to Wescot. Contacted Lowell/Red and they said he had magically accrued the exact same amount of £76.16 in unpaid airfare charges. I have sent recorded letters to Lowell, three and red collection agency (also trying to collect the debt) at the beginning of this year in regards to this. I sent full details of his account with wescot TWICE including the letter from them stating that the account had been fully settled. I have also spoken to their customer service department and each time they have said they'd “Investigate” and I hear nothing for months until they start harassing him again with threatening texts and letters. I have since contacted the executive office at Three mobile to see if they can stop all this, that has been over 2 weeks and the woman dealing with my complaint does not return phonecalls or emails. Since that complaint went into three Lowell sent him another letter dated the 5th of December 2011 asking for all the information he has already sent them TWICE again so they could investigate. This is getting beyond breaking point and of course his credit report shows this debt on there as well. I have sent emails/letters to senior persons at Lowell and still no response. Anyone help? Dan
