  1. Hi, im getting trouble from Link Financial, from a debt from 8 years ago. didnt no what it was, so sent a CCA request, come back, its from a double glazing company, Coldseal. I dont no if this company is still operating. At the time i had a break up with my then partner so my mind wasn't very clear, and to be honest i dont even remember if we went ahead with the finance. I have not paid link or as far as i no, coldeal a penny, as this so called debt is over 6 years, is the staute barred. What should my next step be? thanks for any help that follows
  2. Hi, i got a letter in January from Asset Link Capital. It says my "debt" had been sold to them by GE Money Consumer Lending Ltd. It says this was effective from March 2005. I had no idea what this debt was. I sent them a CCA. I got back an finance agreement, signed with First National Consumer Lending (now GE Money), dated from march 2000. It was for double glazing. I have totally lost track of this debt, have moved house several times since then. To my knowlegde have made no payment towards this for over 6 years (or more), it does not show on credit ref agenices and no CCJ. (99% sure anyway) What do i do now?, i belive i should send them a SAR? is that right? And if so, who do i send it to, Asset Link or GE Money? Any advice would be most welcome, thanks.
  3. Yes i did use template here and enclosed £1 postal order. When they failed i sent off a account in dispute letter at end of April, not heard a thing from them, apart from bills they sent, adding charges and interest. And a letter from Mercers demanding full payment. Have not got statements for last 6 years, so should i now send a SAR? What can i do about them adding interest and charges, send another sccount in dispute letter, and to Mercers or Barclays?
  4. CCA request was sent on 10th April CCA failure letter was sent on 24th April Yes both were sent recorded
  5. Hi I have a visa and mastercard with Barclays, dating back to around 1999. I owe in total around £2000 on these. I sent off CCA request for both of these cards, never got anything back So at end of April i sent of the CCA failure notice. The 30 days has now passed and still not had anything from Barclays In the meantime they sent bills, adding interest and late payment charges, and also now getting letters for Mercers. I thought they couldnt do any of this while the account is in dispute?? Can someone please advise me on where i go from here, thanks.
  6. Hi. On the 3/3/2010 i sent a CCA request for a bank loan i have with HFC bank, dating from around 1999 i think. I got a letter back today saying i had to resubmit my request, and that they need a signature to proceed. What do i do now? do i resubmit with a signature or just write again saying i dont legally need to supply my signature for a CCA:?:
  7. I no longer bank with Barclays, so no danger of them taking money. Do you think i should CCA them then, and not pursue the payment proposal route i started?
  8. Hello, i have a Visa and Mastercard through Barclaycard. I have had the accounts since 2003, and in total owe about £3000 on them. I can no longer afford to pay the min balnce on these accounts. I wrote a letter to them requesting to freeze interest and charges on these accounts and offered a min payment of £15 per month for both card. They responded today saying this:- "We may consider reuduced repayment offers if you CALL on to discuss this on the telephone number supplied. Once a mutually agreed repayment agreement has been reached charges and interest will then be reviewed. We loook forward to hearing from you within 14 days." So i do want to reach a agreement but i do no want to talk to them on the phone i want to reach and agreement through writing only, what should my next step be, call them or write another letter, and what do i write in the letter?
