  1. Re registered here, but thought would put an update on here. We eventually won our case - Lombard paid our deposit back and withdraw their claim against us. So v v v v good news but for the stress and hassle they put us through, it is outrageous and the FLA are a total waste of space and were not breaking into any sweat whatsoever to try and help, v much on the banks side. Hope anyone else who has had problems with them, just keeps going and if you know you are right, like we did,you will be ok. They just try and wear you down. We could have lost everything all for nothing and their arrogant people. I love the fact that this bank is now in big poo makes me smile everytime
  2. We have 2 accounts with them - my husband is having the £12.50 one as it gives you a few benefits, as I am sure you know. But I am using the Reward account which still pays the £5 pm. Do some number crunching and see which suits you best. I dont earn the £1000 pm for my account but I bounce money between the 2 accounts to make sure I hit the target and get the £5. Its very easy online if you havent registered for that yet. alot better than going to the branch. I am in no way saying these charges are great but at the mo making the best of a bad thing. Hope you find a new job soon - take care sorry, this should have linked to Jimlad75's post, must have pressed wrong button - doh
  3. We received a letter yesterday 23 January 2010 from the cout saying that the claim will be stayed generally and then goes on to say that if by 7 December 2010 no application to remove the stay is made the claim will be struck off. Seems a long time to wait but that sorta goes in our favour as it gives time for more information to get out and see what the best course of action would be. Our case is slightly odd, in that we had 2 bank accounts with the Halifax. Both claims were put in online via the court, using a template from the MOneysavingexpert (sorry!) One claim was paid no problems, the 2nd claim, this one, was disputed and taken to court. The day of the court was the day of the annoucement so all a bit of a Monty Python episode really. I am hoping we can argue a bit more now saying that why pay one claim but not another. It was 2 different members of staff dealing so just shows it depends who you get.
