  1. Thomson say this is their final position on the matter, any suggestions what I should do now? Thanks for taking the time to reply
  2. Dont think that they are contesting that the flight was delayed , just that they will not pay compensation out for delays which happened over 2 years ago. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information around . Some literature says that I can claim as long as it is within the 6 year time limit. But thomsons are adamant that it is only 2 years?
  3. Delay was 23 hours because they didnt have a plane for us as it had technical faults
  4. Did not know that I could claim for the flight delay until I saw it on a TV programme in March. Thomson say they are acting on the basis of expert legal advice provided by a pre-eminent aviation law QC who has advised them on claims relating to delay. I have already sent them copies of the boarding passes, flight number and booking reference, but they say they are truly sorry that this was not the outcome I was looking for ,however this is thereir final position on this matter.
  5. Hi. Thomson holidays have sent me a letter saying that claims relating to delay, whether under EU regulations or otherwise, must be brought within 2 years according to domestic law and that they are confident that they are adopting the correct legal position. They say that European case law confirms that it is domestic law that should dictate the time limit. I have sent them a claim for a 24 hour delay to Mexico under 6 years ago and thought that the claim would be valid. Any advice on what to do next , please.
  6. Thank you all for taking the time to try and help me. I am grateful.
  7. Thank you, I will do that, I did think that they were considering extending the loan term by the way he was talking a few weeks ago , but today he said that since I was on a Debt Management Plan, it would be irresponsible to give any financial help by the way of extending the loan term?
  8. They have telephoned me twice today, they said they will give me 2 weeks and then they will think about litigation, whatever that means? Had all this stress a few years ago until I went on a DMP . I thought my problems were sorted out until Mortgage express contacted me this year?
  9. hi. Bradford & Bingley are now saying that as I am with A Debt Management Programme , they can not extend the term of the £6700 and if I dont pay up , then they will start proceedings to reclaim my house. I do have another further advance and I am paying £690 per month and this finishes in 5 years. I asked them to add the £6700 on to the 42000 mortgage I have , but they wont?
  10. Thanks for your help. I will tell them this when they telephone me again tomorrow.
  11. I was told that if the endowment did not cover the mortgage , i would be able to extend the term and continue paying the mortgage, now they are saying that they cannot extend the term.
  12. I am paying the mortgage and further advance on the mortgage at full price. I paid the endowment to bradford & bingley but was short by 6000. I still have 9 years left to pay on the further advance. The further advance was issued by bradford & bingley. Thanks for replying.
  13. has any one been able to find any advice for me, mortgage express have telephoned me today and are going to call me back tomorrow to see what I am going to do about paying this £6700. thank you
  14. Thanks for replying. read the threads , but I am no wiser. Any advice on what I can do . I cant pay them the 6000 immediately, I suggested that I pay it back over a period of time, as I will still be paying the further advance for another 9 years anyway. They said that this is not an option. Thank you
